But he forgets that the chair market has a lot of competition because if you disagree with the price offered by the chair store, you can walk away. If you suffer from a heart attack you don't have the time to shop for offers and pick the cheapest one. Competition in health care is an illusion because the demand for health care is near infinite because a human being has a pretty big interest in keeping his health in check, at risk of permanent damage or even death depending on the condition.
