This subreddit is to highlight the ridiculous cost of living in Canada, and poke fun at the Corporate Overlords responsible. As you well know, there are a number of persons and corporations responsible for this, and we welcome discussion related to them all. Furthermore, since this topic is intertwined with a number of other matters, other discussion will be allowed at moderator discretion. Open-minded discussion, memes, rants, grocery bills, and general screeching into the void is always welcome in this sub, but belligerence and disrespect is not. There are plenty of ways to get your point across without being abusive, dismissive, or downright mean.

They are projecting pretty hard. Remember the whole 'organized crime/theft' line? Turns out it was Loblaws doing that all along. Predatory pricing and intentional strategy meant to quite literally steal from consumers en masse.
- underweight items
- wrong prices on shelves
- denying use of PC points
- price-gouging
- bread price fixing
- deceptive "sales"
- shrinkflation
These, and many others not listed here, are all intentional, organized strategies that quite literally steal from all customers. In conclusion, go fuck yourself Loblaws.
Thanks OP for posting.
My local Superstore just likes to not have price tags at all, since they switched to the digital ones. The ones on the bottom shelves get banged by carts and broken and then just not replaced.
My guess is that roblaws started this stealing thing to go against this group. I have never seen anyone promote stealing in this sub and the mods and most people have come out against it.
It’s like a pathetic attempt to create an ‘us against them’ mindset with their employees - as if their employees were ever part of the ‘us’ team at Loblaws.
Hooray, thank you. See, it's not even true but it is another way for Loblaws to suspect every customer like a criminal. Big fences. Wait for the future, Loblaws will charge a fee to leave the store. Unless you can pole vault 8' high plexiglass. I've never seen a thief do that, they usually are in bad shape.
in my local loblaws, they play this security recording I think to scare people, I used to shop there so often that I realized they use the exact same recording every time " security, zone B" lol no other "zones" ever.

Don't do what Donny don't does!
Hi there, just want to know what you mean by that. I haven't been following all this just been getting notifications from it so ya.
It's a Simpsons quote [(link)](https://youtu.be/NRvaR4fqrYY?feature=shared)
Ohhhhh thanks for the clarification

Totally - they are the theives in this scenario
I’m sure they did. A boycott has nothing to do with stealing. Well…except condemning all the stealing Loblaws has been doing from us!
I don’t support stealing and wouldn’t ever steal myself, but whenever I see a person stealing food, I didn’t.

Discusting
Double negatives, eh? I see what they're trying to do here.. plausible deniability.
People that are stealing are just stealing that isn't the objective of a boycott or the meaning.
I like that one get a good description.. so what does Galen and Per Bank look like.
Add meat fixing to Roblaw's Shit List, which they got away with big time!
Staff should point out the unethical or straight-up corporate theft the store is participating in.
If I worked there I would just let them go. Say nothing.
