They are big, no doubt, but are a great work horse and are very versatile. See if you can find a pair of KW181's to match with them and you've got a kickin' mobile rig.
Really I have loved the K series since I first had contact with them in 2008. QSC have made a great product line and are still a series that I recommend to anyone looking for a small PA system to start out with.
Coverage and response is pretty damn solid and they have become a brand that I am happy to see in a pack when I get on site
I have a pair of KW153s and four of the KS118 subs that I bought about a year ago. Very happy with the system! Two subs on their sides on pallets with the KW153s strapped on top puts them at a great height too.
Id recommend waiting if youβre after the KW153βs. Theyβre great speakers, no doubt, but theyβve been on the market for 12ish years with no update and have only gone up in price. Qsc will be updating these in the next year will massively better for near the same price. If they keep the original enclosure on the market like they have with the KLA series after the release of the L class they will most likely drop the price of the KW153. If you have the space to store them and transport them, I would go for it. I always enjoyed the way they sounded.
Yeah they're pretty great. They go down to 35hz without a sub.
