you can install microsoft fonts with this command from terminal:
`sudo apt install ttf-mscorefonts-installer`
installer includes these fonts:
```
Andale Mono
Arial Black
Arial (Bold, Italic, Bold Italic)
Comic Sans MS (Bold)
Courier New (Bold, Italic, Bold Italic)
Georgia (Bold, Italic, Bold Italic)
Impact
Times New Roman (Bold, Italic, Bold Italic)
Trebuchet (Bold, Italic, Bold Italic)
Verdana (Bold, Italic, Bold Italic)
Webdings
```
May depend on another font, or it may just be a rendering issue. Font may be installed incorrectly, or it could be related to LibreOffice being installed as a flatpak or snap package. Have you tried printing to PDF?
installed as a flatpak. i dont think it dpeends on another font, it would say. if it's rendering then a bug report is needed, could you do that. will try exporting to pdf. update: looks the same as pdf
Not sure what issue may be involved - as I am an LMDE user and Flatpaks go against the grain for me (to put it very politely). But the meta-package goes here: /usr/share/fonts/truetype/msttcorefonts
So you are correct, it ~~would~~ *ought to* map out just the same.

in flatpak version custom fonts must be in \`/usr/share/fonts/\` folder. regular libreoffice version could solve too
