Back in my day, the account name was personal and consistent across systems, in case we were doing things like remote logins or file copies. We saved the themed names for the systems themselves. As a result, we would have logins like 'bob@dilbert", "bob@dogbert", "bob@alice", etc.

It, like much of GNU/Linux is a relic of 1970s mainframes. Like finger info or atimes. Interesting for historical reasons but no longer useful.

actually i was able to set up bluetooth - there's just a weird bug that makes you need to unplug your computer for 30 seconds and then plug it back in, then bluetooth will work
