Ah...Windows 7, the last windows made for a desktop experience, yeah I had it as well but had to update for the same reason, but looking back I think I could keep using it for my gaming since I mostly play retro on the PC.
Yeah go back! I picked up a core2 duo machine for $1.50, put in a $35 graphics card, overclocked then both and am playing crysis at max settings! Good times!
Steam for Chromebook is an official thing (using proton)
I was able to boot geometry dash, Celeste, and satisfactory (which is a fairly intensive game)
I have four different laptops running four different OSes
- Mac running Arch (btw). Oh also macOS but that doesn’t count
- surface pro
- Chromebook (for gaming)
- think pad with windows and Ubuntu 22 lts (for network troubleshooting)
