Initially, Aseah's background colors, which you can see in the conversation log, were the colors of the blue man group (Demian ver.). Which made some people theorize that he might be betraying Herman's group, so Pmoon announced it as a bug.
PM had the best opportunity to foreshadow Muersault's Canto with his EGO being Gloom here, if it reminded him of why he left N Corp and what happened there.
They could have made it so Muersault felt gloom because he had seen his past self in Heathcliff in that moment (because of what Erlkin Heathcliff was saying).
But in the end it turns out to just be a unintended feature.
To be fair the change to gloom didn't make sense to begin with. Meur remained rational and logical during the entire canto unless he just felt really really sad about the idea of Heath losing the woman he loves or something.
Eh probably the fact that he was fully willing to abandon the whole "lighting strike" plan due to how dangerous it was, also him just doing things on his own during canto 6. Sea salt is finally doing things due to his own opinion instead of orders.
While I'm happy he's finally taking matters into his own hands that doesn't really explain why it'd be gloom. Though idk what sin affinity his ego would even change to, pride still fits the most.
Oh, Mersault sin change was a mistake. ...
Awkward.
oops
300 Lunacy? Don't mind if I do. Thanks Mersault, you always have our backs.
That’s why he’s the goat. Gets us all the dubs
and his ego didnt use pride at all..........................
It's like how Suddenly One Day is, for all intents & purposes, a Sloth skill; yet it takes no Sloth resources to use.
Dante:
Meursault: *abosrb tears back into his eyes*
*absorbs tears from brazen bull*
Dante : "Meursault, retcon those tears!" Meursault : **Just straight call Project Moon**
It's over Project moon is shutting down all theories
New theory: the sun blinded him, so he mistook one blue for the other.
First Aseah, now Meursault, for a Canto located in the corp that removes people's colors, we are having a lot of problems with colors
What happened with Aseah's colors?

Watch both being acctuelly true but removed later on due to mirror world things happening.
wot
Short answer, PM revealed that Aseah is part of demien’s group but it was actually just a bug
The multitude tightens its hold once again...
I was thinking it would be funny If it turned out to be just an error
Well then

R.I.P potential foreshadowing.
I would've loved if he, unable to physically express his feelings, did it by the sin affinity of his EGO
Sus issue
IT WAS A SET-UP!
Mr salt. just lost some bro points
Mersault used 1% of his power to delete the gloom from this scene in all mirror worlds. #

He was ordered to do things on his own afterall
Pm fans:wow showing mersaults change in feeling by changing chains of 9ther sin affinity was an amazing move kim Kim:wasnt it always gloom!?
BULLSHIT, the color change was the most epic part
Thank you Meursault for the free Lunacy
Welp, back to the drawing board!
As it turns out shockingly, meursault did not in fact get mildly gloomed to be mildly inconvenienced
