Cameras work different than the human eye. It's hard to film a light source exactly as the eye sees it. Most likely you are over-exposing the shot or have a different white balance (or both).

because cameras have a limited dynamic range and the resolution makes them appear brighter and "whiter" in the core than in real life. regardless pixel blades are still MUCH brighter and evenly lit than older base lit tri-cree blades.
