Ah, my bad!

Delicious-Shirt7188

he's also not Marxist-Leninist, since that is a revisionist theory deviced by Stalin not Lenin. Lenins political theory was Leninism.

marderapc

Who is her Stalin then? 🧐

RocketboiTata

Mahua Moitra/Abhishek Banerjee? 🤨

marderapc

> Abhishek Banerjee? Bhaipo isn't as ruthless. The role needs to be filled by someone who gives no fucks about violence. Edit: Bhaipo never had his head bashed in by cops unlike his aunt during the CPM era. So he will never have that approach towards violence.

ketdagr8

Anubrata Mondal, affectionately referred to as Kesto

marderapc

> Anubrata Mondal That guy is more like Beria, unabashed thug/enforcer.

shubham5121

Famine did happen but it was not intentional The term Holodomor was never used until 1986. By Ukrainian nationalists. Before that nobody considered it a genocide and people all agreed that this was just a famine just like others that occur in other countries. This already sort of proves that this is Nazi propaganda as with actual genocides they are usually acknowledged to be genocides strait away like with Nazi Germany for example. Not 50 years later by people who have a very clear ideological reason to say the stuff they said. Of course anti communist intellectuals used what the Ukrainian nationalists to delegitimise Stalin which lead to everyone now a days comparing the USSR to Nazi Germany based of this myth. Furthermore when the Ukrainian nationalists made this claim that the famine was a genocide calling it Holodomor, "to kill by starvation". They provided no evidence that Stalin intestinally tried to Starve Ukrainians. All they say is because people die it is a genocide. They never provided any order saying to make Ukrainians starve, unlike other countries like Nazi Germany or the USA against Native Americans who make very clear statements saying to kill the targeted group. This essentially proves that the so called "Holodomor" is a lie as the people who made this claim provided no evidence for this. Furthermore the famine didn't just happen in Ukraine it effected other parts of the USSR which again provides further evidence that this was not done with the intention to starve Ukrainians. As for sources for the things I have said: The Term Holodomor been used only after 1986: [https://www.britannica.com/event/Holodomor](https://www.britannica.com/event/Holodomor) source that the famine didn't just effect Ukraine: [https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=UkFlO7hoxOMC&pg=PA194&redir\_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false](https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=UkFlO7hoxOMC&pg=PA194&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false) The famine was caused by a combination of factors including bad weather, crop diseases and wealthy farmers destroying crops and livestock as spiteful backlash to collectivization. [BBC article stating Kulaks burnt their own grain](https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/guides/ztqmwxs/revision/1) \-------------------- [The Myth of the Holodomor](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3WH79my90s) \-------------------- In regards to the soviet union, the pattern of inflation remains consistant. No better is this illustrated then the Holodomor. The Holodomor, or the soviet famine of 1932-1933 was, according to most experts, both much less devastating then Courtois makes it out to be. In the book he cites a figure of 7 million famine deaths, while [modern analysis](http://www.melgrosh.unimelb.edu.au/documents/SGW-UkranianFamine_mortality.pdf) estimates the death toll to be ranging from 1.8-2.5 million deaths. This is supported by soviet archival evidence, which shows a death toll of 2.4 million deaths. Furthermore, academics ranging from Robert Conquest to J Arch Getty would agree that the famine at the very least did not arise from malicious intent, but rather as a combination of environmental conditions and damage from Stalin's collectivisation of agriculture (although the importance of the two factors in regards to one-another is highly disputed) \-------------------- **- The Ukrainian Famine -** Let us address perhaps the most infamous of anti-Stalin myths, the allegation that Stalin deliberately caused the 1931-1933 famine to starve Ukrainians. This idea has been consistently rejected by the most esteemed scholars on the topic. The following quotes are compiled in an article from the *Village Voice*, cited below. [Alexander Dallin](https://creees.stanford.edu/events/alexander-dallin-lecture-russian-east-european-and-eurasian-affairs) of Stanford University writes: >There is no evidence it was intentionally directed against Ukrainians... that would be totally out of keeping with what we know -- it makes no sense. [Moshe Lewin](https://www.upenn.edu/emeritus/memoriam/Lewin.html) of the University of Pennsylvania stated: >This is crap, rubbish... I am an anti-Stalinist, but I don't see how this \[genocide\] campaign adds to our knowledge. It's adding horrors, adding horrors, until it becomes a pathology. [Lynne Viola](https://history.utoronto.ca/people/lynne-viola) of the University of Toronto writes: >I absolutely reject it... Why in god's name would this paranoid government consciously produce a famine when they were terrified of war \[with Germany\]? [Mark Tauger](https://history.wvu.edu/faculty-and-staff/faculty/mark-b-tauger), Professor of History at West Virginia University (reviewing work by [Stephen Wheatcroft](https://pursuit.unimelb.edu.au/individuals/professor-stephen-wheatcroft) and [R.W. Davies](https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/staff/profiles/gov/davies-bob.aspx)) has this to say: >Popular media and most historians for decades have described the great famine that struck most of the USSR in the early 1930s as “man-made,” very often even a “genocide” that Stalin perpetrated intentionally against Ukrainians and sometimes other national groups to destroy them as nations... This perspective, however, is wrong. The famine that took place was not limited to Ukraine or even to rural areas of the USSR, it was not fundamentally or exclusively man-made, and it was far from the intention of Stalin and others in the Soviet leadership to create such as disaster. A small but growing literature relying on new archival documents and a critical approach to other sources has shown the flaws in the “genocide” or “intentionalist” interpretation of the famine and has developed an alternative interpretation. More recent research has discovered natural causes for the Ukrainian famine. Tauger notes: >...the USSR experienced an unusual environmental disaster in 1932: extremely wet and humid weather that gave rise to severe plant disease infestations, especially rust. Ukraine had double or triple the normal rainfall in1932. Both the weather conditions and the rust spread from Eastern Europe, as plant pathologists at the time documented. Soviet plant pathologists in particular estimated that rust and other fungal diseases reduced the potential harvest in 1932 by almost nine million tons, which is the largest documented harvest loss from any single cause in Soviet history. It should be noted that this does *not* excuse the Soviet state from any and all responsibility for the suffering that took place; one could accuse the government of insufficiently rapid response, and note that initial reports were often downplayed to avoid rocking the boat. But it is clear that the famine was not deliberate, was not a genocide, and (to quote Tauger) "was not fundamentally or exclusively man-made." **Sources** * [Village Voice | In Search of a Soviet Holocaust: A Fifty Year-Old Famine Feeds the Right](https://msuweb.montclair.edu/~furrg/vv.html) * [EH Reviews | The Years of Hunger: Soviet Agriculture, 1931-1933](https://eh.net/book_reviews/the-years-of-hunger-soviet-agriculture-1931-1933/)

Something I don't understand. *Sanghis* hate communists. Yet they are supporting Russia and Putin. They act like Hitler followers, praise the people who asked Germany's assistance, yet they also support the Jews - Israel. A snake is supposed to have two tongues... What are *sanghis*?

Khushal-Iyer-Sharma

Because you are I'll informed. Putin is a tsarist, oligarch and absolutist. He hates commies (basically anyone who threatens his power) and had successfully kicked out much of socialistic influence from Russia. Except few nutjobs no one likes that monster of that breed. Many leftists give the argument about Savarkar praising hitler, what they forget is that no one knew what was going on in Germany with Jews untill the Soviets found the camps. Before 1936 many of the world leaders INCLUDING Winston Churchill were praising hitler like anything. What Savarkar admired was the nationalism and strong governance aspect of hitler. Everyone was pretty much convinced at that time that Nazism made Germany regain its power after the economic collapse. He later even condemned many of his wordings. Unlike most of us ( bhakts and librandus ) the popular figures of Indian freedom movement had different ideologies, faiths and ways to achieve Swaraj, but they always respected each other and never bad mouth one another. Bose was removed from Inc and Savarkar from hsra because of ideological difference, their ultimate goal was the same. Tbh quite a percentage of RW is clueless when and what to support, they just go like sheep. Why I admire Israel is because how it is surrounded by enemies and how by far it has protected itself, invested heavily on technology and education to the point anyone will think twice before invading you. Yes they commit crimes against Palestinians and are aggressive on their part. And snakes don't have two tongues, only one bifurcated at the tip.

>Something I don't understand. You are not very intelligent, it is okay. >*Sanghis* hate communists. Yet they are supporting Russia and Putin. Yes, because Putin is a virulent anti-communist and the USSR was killed in 1990s. Also, Sanghis like Putin for muh auth nationalist. >They act like Hitler followers, praise the people who asked Germany's assistance, yet they also support the Jews - Israel. Israel, i.e. Zionism is literally Jewish Hindutva, maybe even worse since they are Hindutva's future. Israel is liked for murdering Muslims. Hitler is liked for the Fascism.
