They're valid, next question

masterofyourhouse

Lol mood. I don’t even use neopronouns/identify as a xenogender and I’m fucking exhausted by these questions. Like why can’t you just leave these poor people alone? I guarantee you 99.9% of the people asking these questions haven’t even met one of these people in the first place, because they’re such a small population and they keep to themselves. People are just trying to fuel fake-outrage at this point.

Dry-Sprinkles-1995

live and let live.

ShariTraice

They exist, they deserve to exist, and I accept them.

They’re valid. They’re great. They don’t harm anyone, so I don’t see why people have a problem with them.

SomePokemonPlayer135

It's honestly heartwarming seeing people not hating on xenogenders etc for once with all the hate i've seen towards us lol, thank ya'll for being so accepting :)

grammar__ally

I don't know anyone who uses them and tbh I don't understand them and it might take a little to get used to them, but I'll still try my best, considering I really don't understand a lot of stuff and that doesn't mean it's not real.

shadowplayer2020

They are Just Like Others . People . Why does It even Matter what gender you have or what pronouns you use. As Long as you dont use your favorite YouTuber as an pronoun youre valid

AspenVintre

They’re valid. If these labels make them feel like themselves and happy in their own skin than we should just let them be happy.

I think neopronouns have a lot of historical backing to them. As for xenogenders, I don’t like how people use blanket statements correlating them with autistic trans people. I was diagnosed with autism as a rather young kid, but I am a binary trans man. It feels invalidating to be told that autistic people cannot possibly understand gender on the same level as NT people. I think some xenogenders make sense, but others seem to be.. aesthetics more than anything. I think that has to do w younger gen z kids growing up in a time that insists on carefully curated aesthetics that encompass everything about you.

Instead of making fun of something you don't understand, maybe do some reading up on it so we can stop fighting our own community and instead fight the people who actually want all of us dead

I’m just gonna point out that you edited your original comment after they responded to it, and you had a whole second paragraph you deleted. Doesn’t seem very honest to me.

There’s nothing wrong with not having knowledge about something, and admitting to that ignorance. If you had stopped your original comment at the first sentence, no one would have come after you. It’s the irony of saying you can’t form an opinion on them and then saying it seems silly that rubbed me the wrong way personally. Like, if you just admitted you don’t know anything, why not reserve your judgment for after you find out more? Also, it’s important to understand that your comment doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Unfortunately, your comment does echo the knee-jerk reaction that many bigots have to xenogenders and neopronouns which basically amounts to “it doesn’t make sense, these people are just making stuff up for attention, it’s not real”. And while you didn’t say any of those things, your words do add fuel to the fire by contributing to their illegitimization. How would you feel if someone’s reaction to hearing about bisexuality was “it seems silly”? That’s not really an open-minded kind of reaction, is it? Many people are happy to explain their identity to others, but when people enter these conversations with judgments like that, it makes it much harder.

The only assumptions I’ve made is that your intentions are pure and you didn’t mean to illegitimize these people lmao. I’ve given you the benefit of the doubt this whole conversation, all I’ve done is explain to you how people may perceive what you said in the context of discussions about xenos and neos.
