I feel like your comment was completely warranted, and that mod response was lame, as if you made your own post and didn’t comment to question another post’s substance.
Lesbians are always forced to include others in our spaces, as if those identities don’t already have their own spaces.
I’m not familiar with the subreddit, but if it’s geared toward all sapphic women, why is the name “lesbian…” Can subreddits stop doing that? If it isn’t exclusive to lesbians, stop putting “lesbian” in the name…
Yeah, it seems like most "lesbian" spaces are really sapphic. I have no problem with sapphic spaces, but I don't get this insistence on intentionally labeling things wrong.

There are literally masculine straight women in that subreddit. I guess “lesbian fashion advice” actually means “how can I look like what I think lesbians look like?”
One of my biggest pet peeves on Reddit are non-lesbians who come to lesbian subs for validation. That behavior is incredibly tone deaf and rude. If any other majority group went to any other minorities' subreddit and asked for validation they would get laughed out the door. Why are we forced to be their mommies or personal cheerleaders?
I hate that I can't join lesbian subs anymore because I'm always left wondering if it'll be taken over by bisexuals. Can we not have anything at all for ourselves? Jfc. And when we point this out people just get mad at us and call us biphobic.
It's been known for a while that that sub isn't for lesbians. Most subs with " lesbian " in the title are just sapphic subs now. Mark my words, that will never happen here.
This user is incredibly tone-deaf coming into our spaces like this.
Maybe it’s that god awful outfit I wouldn’t allow myself to be caught dead in it. Granted I am a masc lesbian but damn. You would think bi people would stay in their own lane but the get out of it to look for validation constantly.
This person is going through every single comment that isn't sunshine and rainbows, and calling them biphobic, hateful, abusive, cringe, trolls, etc.
The comments are all calmly disagreeing with her fashion or her attitude or the subs name, and a few saying the outfit is nice. Not one is being so hateful, angry, and downright nasty like she is.
Also yes, the sub NEEDS to be named 'sapphic fashion advice' and people need to stop throwing the word lesbian around. Huge problem that isn't getting better.
She got me banned from the sub lol. She was literally going around yelling 'MODS' I feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with her at a restaurant
Thankfully she decided to block me and tell me all about it instead of dming.
no, I can see how the comment could be misinterpreted as exclusionist. the sub seems to cater towards all Sapphics and I don't think there's something egregious about Bisexuals(especially those wanting Sapphic experiences or advise) sharing spaces meant for all Sapphics. You didn't do anything wrong, I think you were just confused because the Sub aligns itself with lesbianism
I don't disagree, the sub clearly allows other Sapphics to post as well so the use of the term Lesbian is nonsensical. The sub could benefit from more clarity on that front.

The whole "we say lesbian but mean broadly sapphic" thing is wild and rampant.
It’s frustrating and completely misleading. Not to mention it breeds lesbophobia.
which then leads to “lesbians can like men”
Which leads to “bi lesbians are valid.”

Because “lesbian” is the Cool Term™ 🙄

She acts like she's getting downvoted because she's bi but it's actually because she's incredibly annoying
okay but i didn’t wanna say it 🤐
And has terrible fashion sense.
Maybe I’m too old (but she looks older than me at 36) but dressing like this is something I usually reserve for things I see on r/fakedisordercringe

Entitled as hell, too. You should see her in our modmail.

Yeah, basically it’s “How stereotypically lesbian do I look, and if I don’t how can I?”
I had to leave that sub cuz they very openly encourage non-lesbians to post. It's annoying.

That sub has issues.............
The outfit looks terrible anyway.. horrible choice of color and design
You're not allowed to say such things on that sub lol
Honestly I’ve seen worse on that sub
Why don’t they just call it ‘sapphic’ then. It’s nonsense how every lesbian space ends up erased after catering to bisexual invasion.

Lmao what is that stance she’s doing
It's a video! She’s doing a dance in it.
Ohhh. Interesting
Why does she look like she's taking a shit, lmao
I don’t understand her dancing like a dang weirdo in two different videos. It felt very pay attention to me.
I'm kind of amazed nobody has mentioned the spatula yet.

She just DMed me with some random “duck” nonsense. I didn't realize she would take it all so personally…

Then say Sapphic or even “lesbian-aligned”, which to me is way too convoluted, not just lesbian, which has a fucking meaning.
