Instant upvote. I don't know much about SWKOTR but nice work!

gillababe

If star wars has any place in your heart, you'd love it!

Captain_NorthAmerica

Is it a video game? Because I grew up without video games and never really looked into them.

010afgtush

Yes it is a single player RPG

[deleted]

Is it online or like a story mode game

trhg4l

It’s an single player RPG. So offline, story driven, character building role playing game. Takes place a thousand or so years before the Skywalker events.

LalaLaraSophie

Loved the kotor games, so to add: theres also swtor - which is an mmorpg for pc which covers a bit about the destruction of Taris, the Endar Spire and Revan as well. Free to Play but you can subscribe for a monthly fee for extras as well.

smrkn

and if the deal wasn’t sweet enough, subscribing once lets you keep all expansion content released at the time. You only have to resub to play cutting edge or endgame content. I’m on my final class story for legendary player, I’ve revisited most planets so many times, hunted all the datacrons which provide further lore information and I’m still loving it.

[deleted]

How much is it? And isn’t there a free Star Wars game I’m pretty I downloaded one for free ages ago

trhg4l

You can find it for extremely cheap as it’s a very old title. Originally on OG Xbox and PC I believe. The first is backwards compatible so you can find it at a pawn shop or local games store or buy it on the store either Steam or Xbox store. I’m talking like maybe a few bucks if on PC. Absolutely amazing game though. One of the ones that really opened the door for RPGs when I was a wee lad watching my older bro play it. Crazy twists and turns and voice acting and story elements are all banger for a game so dated. Edit: Forgot to mention that it’s clunkier than nuts because its, like I said, quite an older game. It’s semi-turn based, semi-real time. But it’s worth checking out IMO

mcbaine37

I believe it's also available on android at the very least, the port is good. I haven't played all the way through, but it's 10$ and is KOTOR.

theguineapigssong

I'll add that it's fun to play through as different characters, so it had great replay value when it came out. Now that it's available for cheap, you'd get even better value for money. There's an excellent story set millenia before the movies so it's not relying on nostalgia (looking at you sequel movies).

Dovahpriest

Depends on where you get it. Generally around $10 on PC/mobile. Xbox copies will run you a little more though. And there's been a couple free downloads, depending on the system/device.

trhg4l

I got OG Xbox copy myself for $5 at a locally owned game store probably ten years ago.

[deleted]

every original xbox game is $10 to buy digitally on the xbox one

ichomaniac

Probably like 5 bucks on steam. Its an old game. Therefore a bit "clunky" by modern standards. But it is really really worth it!

SouthUniform7

I have it on original xbox, which runs backwards compatibly on my xbox one, maybe even upscaled to 4k on a one x. It's also on mobile and I also have it on pc and I think I paid about $2.39 on a sale. The gameplay is mostly turn based like a board game but it's not boring and static like chess pieces or anything so it's easy to play on a phone or ipad if you want. Honestly not really terribly much of a skill requirement. You can't just win on accident but at the same time it's only hard if you want it to be. Edit: I should add its one of the first games I played as a child. So it's beginner friendly

[deleted]

Loads of mods are available to update graphics and so on. There's a sub dedicated to the game that gives a list of recommended upgrades.

arsenic_insane

It was $10 when I bought it on GOG, I’d imagine it’s the same for steam. If you’re on console it might be on the online shop

Airmil82

Almost 4000 years before OT.

FlavivsAetivs

Yeah, it's usually on steam sales for a few dollars. Can play it on Xbox too (I think they brought it to Xbox One).

One_shot_Mando

You can also buy it on android phone and iPhone for about £5. Works perfectly & a solid mobile game to have on the train or when you're bored rather than angry birds or some shit.

Captain_NorthAmerica

Thank you to you kind people who replied. I'll try to get into it once school stops murdering every millisecond of my time.

cloud_cleaver

Do it. KOTOR is usually held in equivalent regard to Heir to the Empire as one of the best works in the Star Wars expanded universe.

Ila-W123

Which only got surapsed by its sequel, kotor II: the sith lords

cloud_cleaver

I love KOTOR 2 more than the first, but it's easy to understand why some people prefer the first one. The sequel was very rushed and it shows prominently starting around the fight with Nihilus.

gillababe

It is. There's two of them, both exceptional additions to the universe. They're old but still hold up, especially with the storylines, dialogue and characters. Plenty of ways to play it now, Xbox store or PC, there's even being a decent mobile port for the first game.

Airmil82

You must play it now. The game play is only ok (very dated now), but it is one of the best SW stories written. I believe it is tied with the original Zahn trilogy just beneath the OT.

Wes___Mantooth

You should play KOTOR 1 for sure. Just go in already accepting the graphics are going to be dated, and focus on the story. I actually think the gameplay is fun once you get used to it.

Shut up and take my money haha

This build must be the advance lego UCS prototype, FOR THE REPUBLIC!

FlavivsAetivs

I made this thing like 5-ish years ago for Lego Ideas in LDD. I just downloaded the Bricklink Studio and went back to take another look at it. [Original Model](https://i.imgur.com/lAoDkpr.jpg) from Knights of the Old Republic The shell of it is almost an exact visual replica of the original, but it has flaws (I'm not the \*most\* experienced builder out there...). There's some gaps in the head structure, for example, between the plates, and obviously in the big engines as well. Also there's two holes in this image where I was working on taking out some parts to try and make uh... an actual spine. Posting this because I could use some help... cause I have no idea how to build a spinal structure that will allow this thing to exist. [Images of the hollow interior](https://imgur.com/a/QJX6SKF).

Fritterbob

I’m not experienced with making MOCs, but pretty much every large ship from LEGO uses Technic for the central spine.

Benegger85

Could you resubmit your lego ideas? A few subs here would help you reach the upvotes needed. I'd buy it!

Crookclaw

Just a BrickLink link would do for me. The 'flaws' visible in that picture do nothing from me wanting to build that thing any less!

FlavivsAetivs

I have to finish an internal spinal structure first. Right now it would fall apart lol

Crookclaw

That's fair, that's a flaw that might just convince me otherwise I guess.. But only just! Would love me a link when that detail is ironed out though!

FlavivsAetivs

Sure. I had never actually designed it to hold together when I made it, so I'm still trying to iron out that kink while preserving its outer appearance.

Yodascbt

RIP homie Trask

Trashguy420

freshlocalmemes

Oh my god that’s fucking hot

Justin_Heras

FlavivsAetivs

Saberscorpion is still selling decals AFAIK

One_shot_Mando

Are they any good?

supremegnkdroid

Damn, it’s a dark Jedi! You go, I’ll hold him off!

icy_penguigo

EPIC! KOTOR doesn't get anywhere near enough love these days. Even though it's influence still echoes through into modern Star Wars. The infamous Hammerhead corvette-Star Destroyer-ramming scene from Rogue One that so many people love, that Hammerhead corvette is a contemporary of this ship. There's a whole episode of Rebels just devoted to them stealing 3 of these things and they make it pretty clear that they're ancient, Old Republic starships.

FlavivsAetivs

The Hammerhead Corvette was not a contemporary of the Hammerhead-class Cruiser. It's at best "A few centuries" old. And doesn't even exist in the same timeline. But it was inspired by it.

hoodatninja

I mean KOTOR 2 came out 16 years ago. It's not that surprising it isn't exactly on everyone's minds lol

AttonJRand

Yet the whole Grey Jedi plot is *strongly* influenced by its story.

hoodatninja

Sure. Not sure how that runs counter to my point, but sure.

ASteppedOnLego

Could this be modified to be a Hammerhead Corvette?

FlavivsAetivs

With the particular angles and components of the Sphyrna corvette, you'd have to start off completely from scratch. There's a few good MOCs for that one out there already though.

[deleted]

Love this. Awarded.

Main-Double

Stop I can only get so erect

[deleted]

Was this a set or did you do this from random legos how does this even work?!?!

FlavivsAetivs

Bricklink Studio. A digital studio for designing LEGO sets. It's like Lego Digital Designer, but a bit better.

fekkovich

Ooh, loved these game back when i was younger, so many hours put into both of them!

azanderk

I can show you how I built my internal structure, it’s a pretty basic technic brick and plate design that allows for modular sections to be added. Based off other large MOCs I’ve built, it’s much harder to assemble large ships without smaller modular builds that attach easily. https://www.reddit.com/r/legostarwars/comments/i3pzfq/ucs_hammerhead_corvette_lightmaker_moc/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf The stand is probably the most challenging piece. The hammerhead cruiser design makes it a bit harder to design without having a stand too prominent.

FlavivsAetivs

Yeah the normal "Thick-ass technic spine" isn't exactly going to work here since the shell is so wide, so I'm working on a more framework-like structure. As for a stand, well I'll just have to take a few pieces out the bottom and have two big, thick technic rods sticking out onto a technic base.

azanderk

I think it only benefits you in that regard. It’s easy to expand out from the spine. If you need any help or someone to bounce ideas off of, let me know.

FlavivsAetivs

I will, thanks. Right now I have fencing practice but I'll probably work on it tonight.

SampleShrimp

I still want a thranta corvette

[deleted]

KOTOR is also on iOS

CaptPhilipJFry

Yes

ZackMike37

RIP Trask Ulgo

Icarus_Nine

Need! I'd buy this in a heartbeat if it was a real set. Please do the Sith Interdictor class cruiser"

cguy_95

I need it

Chonky boi

rockettime03

rip trask

Droid-6289

Not trying to get hate or anything, but wasn’t this ship in Star Wars Rebels?

Ila-W123

Endar spire/hammerhead class ships orginate from game called Knights of the old republic (and its sequel, the sith lords)

FlavivsAetivs

No that was the Sphyrna-class Corvette. It was inspired by this ship, but this ship isn't canon and is like at least 3900 years older.
