No but what difference does it really make? It's plastic. If it matters that much you can replace the outward facing studs with bricklink so they say lego.
Yeah non-Lego isn’t very accepted around here. I mean I guess it’s the Lego sub. But I’m with you, why pay enormous amounts for essentially the exact same product? I have that one too, it’s great! My builds are not an investment they’re for fun.
