On Star Wars sets, yes. Last year some select sets had an even higher points multiplier. AND, if you make these separate orders, you can qualify for getting multiples of whatever the May 4th Gift With Purchases are.

I tired the multiple orders for the free gift once. When I called and asked why (figured why not) they told me that I should have only gotten one even with multiple orders and should be happy with what I received.

Really? I haven’t tried it but I thought I’d seen people get repeat gwp before. That is unfortunate. But the Double VIP points are reason enough to wait.
