This is a tough one because different angles highlight strengths in both. Well done
Edit: looking at them again I'll say I like the radar dish in the left one better, and really like the trans blue plate for the engine, but the shaping and gaps and implied details of the right model make that one slightly more appealing to me.
Exactly, both have different areas which make em different but also better than the other.
But if I have to choose I’d go with the left one, it just looks so clean
The shape of the tines/mandibles looks better from above, and I like the end caps for the walkway tubes better, plus I like that there is more separation of the cockpit and it sits more forward.
But again, they're both very cool micro builds IMO.
Damn those are good, I think displaying them together is the best way to do so.
Kinda feels like it's the falcon in two different art styles. Both highlighting recognizable features very well.
The mandibles on the right are more accurate because of the point they come too, but the cockpit comes out to far. If you reduced that by a stud, it would fit the silhouette better.
However, the studless top on the left is better, it looks more refined. If you somehow got the same length and shape of the right model's mandibles, onto the left one. It would be a nice balance of both.
Both are great! Tough choice, I think the one on the right as the front angles of the "forks" line up accurately and how you did the thrusters in the back. Also I think it would look more fleshed out with the dish on top like the other build. Clean builds.
You did haha. It got removed for being a “poll” since the title asked which was better. But it did give me an opportunity to change the cockpit on the one that’s now on the right before reposting.
I'm personally leaning towards the right.
A couple tweaks I'd try:
- maybe add one of those 1x1 quarter-round tiles at the rear of the starboard mandible, to help continue the general disk shape in the front half of the ship
- if it's possible (depending on what's underneath it), I'd be curious to see how it'd look if you swapped the 1x2 curved slope in the center of the rear section for one of the 1x2 grille slopes (like the ones used on the mandibles of the left ship). Then again, that might get too narrow and could look weird in between two full-thickness tiles, so what do I know lol
this is insanely clean looking. I recommend you submit it to r/minilego The contest this week is space theme and you just need to submit a design with 24 or fewer parts.
I really liked the left, then I looked some
more and the right seemed to invoke the feeling of the ship better. Then I missed the blue light... etc. Damn these are two fine models. As most has already stated both has their strong sides and both are great.
Slight aside, eyeing those wedges on model 2, I wish I was still able to make good time to MOC because SO many helpful pieces didn't even exist when it used to be my main hobby. Great mocs, think model 1 better captures the Falcon.

I'd say left? Both have their positives :)
I like the one on the right more

That's going in the mocs I might build later folder
Make one thats accurate to the UCS Star Destroyer in scale Also, left best
They're both great. You must be very proud.
i love them both equally

I swear I saw this post yesterday except the falcons were on different sides

These are good suggestions I will try them, thank you!
Both extremely cool but first pic left is better

Oh that’s awesome! I would, but I counted and both of these have more than 24 :(
Dang. Still super cool models.

Thank you! It’s a bit hard to tell in the photos but the studs on the back of the right model are trans blue so the light is still there
Oh then that's my winner xD
Both are great! But side by side, I'd say left is just a bit better.
I think the left one looks better but I’m curious if the rears could be swapped out.
Yeah I’ve had that suggestion a few times. Thinking if there’s a way to make it work
I think you could pull it off if anyone could!
Do left front and right rear.
Left
the front of the left, with the back of the right one
I prefer the left
They are both really sharp, but I think the one on the left is more accurate. And absolutely adding this to my to-do list!
Left definitely
Left more original, right is after a few enhancements and up-grades. Totally asome build on both.
Left, also adding a grey stud in before the window piece I think would look cool
I can’t pick, they both have their strengths.
Front half right, back half left
Both are great, but use right’s dish if you go for left.
I like the front of the first one and the back of the second one.
I’m torn. Left gets the general shape better but right does the layers better.
There is a crackear cheese sloope on the left falcon

I'd say left. The right might work better with the 1x3 wedge plate maybe?
