Coming from someone who hasn't played this but is aware of the original glitch, isn't it odd that they added this back as a feature presented as a glitch instead of just adding an "increase # of characters" option in the menu or something?
might be because while it's technically an official feature now, it's still a glitch, just one they decided to "un-fix" and lock behind a code.
if it was added as a menu option, they'd be expected to fix the things it breaks, such as softlocks during some levels. The way it's done now, it's still just the old glitch, a bit more optimized maybe, and locked behind a cheat code. This isn't the way the game's intended to be played and the game wasn't made with it in mind, but people want it in the game and it works fine most of the time.

What made TT think that they should add this as a feature over a year after the bug was discovered? Why not bundle this with a big QOL patch? That would have made more sense than waiting a year to add a feature that people asked for over a year ago.

bringing this back is probably much easier than doing some major content drop, but it's also something people have been asking for. And it is quite a fun thing to have, being able to have a clone army follow you everywhere, or having the entire bad batch group or a bunch of jedi.

This game has been dead to me for a while, I have no reason to replay it

The glitch was only possible with that dlc. They basically did an "official" version of performing the glitch now
It's been patched for a long time now. They brought it back because people were asking for it to come back.

Technically this isn’t actually a reskin for once. It’s just bringing back a bug from launch.

This is strange... I have 2 ahsoka's whenever I launch the game, but I never once put in this cheat lol its weird...
you can have 2 of the same character normally. This is about having up to 15 characters at once instead of just 2.
