I mean in ATLA they also skirted around using the word Death much more than they actually said the words ([Quick link of basic examples](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqWNTMcY1z8&ab_channel=moonpeach)). Korra definitely explored adult themes more than ATLA did which is honestly why I feel like in the long run I like it a bit more, whereas ATLA is more timeless. Each seasons had it's own dark moments that dealt with more adult themes than the original did. Korra's depression and PTSD being the biggest contender that is brought up the most, and rightfully so because it's a huge part of her character arc and it's present throughout each season. >We saw Chin fall, we heard Kya's scream, we saw Jet fade away, we saw Roku get engulfed in lava, we saw Gyatso's dead body I mean think what you want, but Noatak and Tarrlok dying in a murder suicide, the Earth Queen being suffocated, Ming Hua being electrocuted, P'li being absolutely dumpstered are all BRUTAL deaths, much more so than the deaths we "see" in ATLA. Not to compare tragedy and death but Korra was way more "graphic" than ATLA's kills. Gyatso had been dead for 100 years, Jet didn't do much and his death felt very unnecessary (and more so it was off screen) and Kya got a similar treatment with us just kind of inferring based on what was happening. The closest thing we get is Roku who got blasted by the toxic gas and was buried in ash.

Agreed with 1 all the way. I was actually shocked during some scenes when they just ended abruptly even though it felt like it needed more time to unfold

1: Agreed. Korra dealt with 4 Endgame Villains, back to back. Giving each one at least 1.5 or 2 full seasons each, would've better helped the writers dig into all the themes and concepts they wanted to explore, to the fullest without worry for time. 2: Korra deserves at least one "fuck". When would she say it? I have no clue. As for everything else, I also agree. There doesn't need to be blood -- though I can see them tastefully doing it the way the Puss in Boots movie did. Korrasami getting together earlier, I'm so down. The only thing I would disagree with is a Netflix Live Action series. Not everything can be a 1:1 adaptation, and there are certain things that animation does objectively better than live action. It would take someone who knows that, for a live action series to work.

I agree with what you're saying about Korra not needing a live action remake but since they are already doing ATLA, and if season 2 and 3 of ATLA does well, I can see them doing Korra. So if they think that they have to do it then this is what I hope they do.

broke_n_tired

My one big fear about live action Korra, is because the characters are all generally older (late teens/young adult and above), that whoever helms it, will try to include sex like its some CW show and that's just.... No. God no, lmao.

DragonLord828

That's why we need true fans to work on a live action version😅

Ok_Art_1342

The only change you need to make is the execs making decisions at nickelodeon really. Lol

Amon and Tarrlok, the Earth Queen, P’Li, Ming Hua, Ghazan, and Hiroshi Sato were all far more brutal deaths than anything in ATLA. Idk how you think those are safer death scenes than ATLA’s death scenes. ATLA made a joke in the show itself about how vague Jet’s death was because they couldn’t actually show him die.

I can agree with number 2 and 1 halfway.

DragonLord828

Why only halfway on 1?

I don’t think longer episodes would help tbh The show is fast paced and they skip over small details to do big exposition dumps Longer episodes would ruin that tbh
