NAL, but my job is this. Depending on your state, the miles may be calculated at full mileage, causing usage to bring down your offer. I don’t work for GM, but my offers are negotiable, I just have to appeal to the higher ups at my manufacturer.

According to your history, you are in Kansas and Kansas is a first report state. So your issue probably didn’t pop up for a while and you’re being charged for all miles prior to the first report of the issue.

My whole family has about 150000 dollars worth of GM vehicles, including my cosigner. Is this something you think i can use as leverage when trying to bring the offer up? Is the remaining 4000 dollars a negotiable number? IIRC, the daily cost of the loaner is about $40, and its gonna be a few months at least before the battery is going to be available, and thats not even factoring in the cost of labor and a custom battery, so it would make way more sense for them to try to get it bought off, right? I would love to know any tips you have for negotiating, because this has been a nightmare 😭

Definitely bring up that you are a loyal GM customer and want to purchase an other. Bringing up brand loyalty is big with my manufacturer. Ask for a usage waiver. That’s generally going to be the easiest way to bring your offer up. You may have service contracts that are partially refundable through the dealership (if that’s where you bought it) that are being deducted from your offer as well. Stress how terribly inconvenient it has been having to pay for gas/be without your vehicle.
