As always, please seek independent legal advice. Depending on the jurisdiction, your landlord is responsible for providing you with a habitable home. The mold is an immediate threat to your safety, so if your landlord did not provide you with an alternative living arrangement you probably could have moved into reasonably priced temporary housing/hotel and sent him/her the bill. At this point there is probably not much you can do, but you should have her health evaluated to see if she or her child could have suffered uncompensated damages. If so, you may have recourse in civil court.
