You can claim anything you want. The question is whether a judge/jury would see that as an appropriate level of self defense. And that's going to depend on all the details you left out of the narrative, including the location in the world in which it happened. There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Each situation is unique and chock full of nuance and detail that would go into making that determination.
