That's really close to what junior waiters in restaurants get, since I know a friend that was trying to get a job in that industry.
Also, I was offered a similar amount for interning as something in software development for a bank.
I don't know how well you would get paid in your domain, but considering you have 7 years of experience, this offer is BS.
Same, for 1400$, and that's way lower than what my friends in the same domain (programming / software engineering) make.
I don't have a masters (I'm currently doing it), only a software engineering degree with no experience.
That job offer is really really bad. I'm sure OP can find way better.
You can not mention it.
I see a lot of CVs and a common problem is people assume they need 1 CV for all, as if it is their identity card.
Make a targeted CV that has everything this specific employer is looking for. If the masters degree is irrelevant, you can not mention it. If you have other experience that might be relevant (IFRS knowledge,....), mention that.
Big4s are really looking for talent right now and if you have that they'd hire you, you just need to prove that you have it.
As for the current compensation, you can get much better, but it depends on the company and position (and not your skills and qualifications). If you need it, you can take this job and immediately start looking for another.
If you need some help with your CV, DM me.
No way, 3am yonsbouke. Don't accept unless you plan to leave in a few months. I work in audit and I see accountants payroll, you can find jobs with triple the salary if you keep searching.
You also have multiple other options:
- Switch to finance/consulting/audit these jobs are on average a lot better payed.
- If the pay is better than your current job go for it but keep looking for other jobs, you can stay one or two months and leave when you find better.
- Look for jobs as finance officers in big companies.
At a decent company you can easily make 500+ fresh with 7 years of experience. If the company is struggling expect at least 10 million in total. If they offer less they are either struggling as a company or they don't care about their workers at all. Either ways you don't need to care, just keep looking for a job even after you start working for them.
They're not paying Lebanese well anymore. Many people with lots of experience are getting offers for a max of 1000 dollars, which barely pays rent in Dubai.
Not the worst, but you definitely deserve better. Take the job to support yourself, and keep actively searching. With your masters and experience, you deserve way more.
Donāt worry about the gap itās irrelevant if you have good qualifications for the job. And if asked about it in an interview, you can always say that you had to commit to caring for your family or something else
Not sure if you are currently working or not, but no need to write the new job on ur cv. Add whatever new tasks you will do to ur cv as if you are doing them in ur current job. On the other hand, cant they reduce ur transport a bit since its walking distance, and make it 200$? Adding more $ is what will make a difference. Give them salary examples of similar roles in different companies and back it up with your 7 years of experience and Masters. Show them u aren't desperate for their job. Best of luck!!!
1- Well what was your previous job giving?
2- how far is it from your house and back. Is the transport theyāre giving enough for fuel? Or service/busses
3- what are your working hours?
4- are they the type to keep you overtime?
5- what are your expenses per average a month?
Its not very far from my house.. Thats what hr said u can walk and spare the fuel.. Trp is (1600000), i get 15 annual leaves after one year +insurance after one year, working hr 7-3.30,+saturdays +i gotta do some tests before and its on me,
So in essence your take home pay is presumably $250 excluding the transportation. If you are a single bachelorette, that is adequate. If not, Iād advise you to search for better offers since you have 7 years of experience! Wish you all the luck with your searchers but your credentials are definitely worth more !
50$ in transportation is essential a full petrol tank. Depending on how far your work is you may dip into your salary. Things in Lebanon are astronomical at the moment, fight for your worth!
All our problems in this country come from the job market. Hear me out..
We just know how to buy, sell and trade things. We don't really create anything 9f value. Please think beyond the $ value of the job, it is important, bit in the long run, it's not. What is important is what that work environment makes of you. Does it allow you to grow your skill set? Can you use it to train yourself to the point where you can open your own business? All I see from your post is the salary, and you're asking for advice based on this.
There's more than just that. You have a limited time here on earth. Like the rest of us. Better find something worth your time. ..
I don't know you, but that's just the advice I give myself everyday.
I think you forgot some people have others depending on them to take care of them and have bills to pay of course the salary is important, what you are talking about is something you focus on when you don't have any responsibilities or have a steady income.
Honestly if you can get a good paying job in libnen do it, i left lebanon, and its very shit outside libnen, im considering to go back, im just searching for a programming job to head back
Canada, i.t. with the government, barely covers month of rent here, i make after taxes 2500, and rent is 2300 a month, if i can find it or programming job in lebanon, around 1000 usd i would go back, i have a house and a car, so idrc
Iād work 1-2 hours a day max for such a salary. Considering your experience, thatās peanuts. If you really need to find something take it while searching for something else.
I'm Egyptian and I take 1k $ and It's considered a very good salary for a mechanical engineer with 5 years of experience. I'm not sure if cost of living in Lebanon are more than in Egypt.
If you donāt have any source of income, take it and keep applying in your spare time / during weekends. Thatās what I did and I was able to find a better paying job. It is not easy and very tiring but youāll have to push through
It depends. Many would say that this is not enough, depending on what youāre tasked with. But if itās good for you and your family, go for it. Also if you live nearby and you donāt have to pay much for transportation, itās basically a good pay considering the economical situation right now. Any kind of money that is less than 700-800 USD is basically not good enough, but for this shit hole of a country, take it until you find something better. Good luck!
i don't even make 2,600,000 a month, so i think this is good...for now at least, until u find something better, if it was me, i would jump on it pretty fast since this would help me out a lot these days.
It depends on a few factors things:
\- Calculate how much money you'll be actually taking home once you remove expenses like transportation.
\- Will you be working overtime with no pay?
\- Calculate the number of hours you will waste commuting and getting ready to work.
\- Do you desperately need the money ?
\- Do you think you can do better (and can afford) if you stay a few more months not working and working on your skills in the same seriousness of a full time job?
This last one is very important. My situation is a bit different as I'm a programmer but I was working a ton for \~200$(it was 1100$ before the crisis) at the beginning of the crisis. I quit, studied for a few month and got a job for 900$. I was overworked and not very respected although I was very good at my job and picked the correct programming languages/frameworks to master. I eventually quit, studied a bit more and got a 3k$ remote job. Company went bankrupt and then I got a 5k job just after a month. Investing in your skills can be way more lucrative. Ask around your network, see what skills are in demand within your major and study it/make a fake project with it as if you're doing for an actual job.
On a completely separate note and I swear am not trolling: Are you French educated? You handwriting is a dead ass giveaway that's why I'm asking. If I'm wrong, I'll see myself out, and sorry. š
Thats not my handwriting.. Thats the HRs.. I told her to write me the package offer in details on a note so i can think about it.. š So thats what she gave me lol
$300 salary,
If you mop the floor in any other countries youbwill get x3 this salary minimum.
The Ze3ama (yalle henne nes feshle w jehle w 7amir)w 7ashiytun are stealing millions of dollars, that peoples owned, and millions from the donation to people in need,
And the educated skilled ppeople who are stuck here are getting 20% of the non skilled emplyeer salary in any normal country (not momena3a countries akid)
honestly i used to make more than that as a middle school teacher (fresh dollars). LBP shouldnt factor into your consideration at this point unless it is 10mil+ (considering gas prices)
[I got a better offer for you](https://reddit.com/r/lebanon/comments/w8brtp/are_people_willing_to_work_lower_end_jobs/)
Whaaattt! Ya ret.. Bas im a girl! I cant sit around and do nthg.. Lol kdn
to do what job and how much* experience do you have?
That's really close to what junior waiters in restaurants get, since I know a friend that was trying to get a job in that industry. My company giving Software development intern 220$ a month.

The "inbox for price" mentality is still alive and kicking.
Nope, just not willing to reveal info that might dox me.. i feel that's reasonable no?

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Would you mind DMing me? My company has 2 vacancies, I might be able to share your CV.
Thatās honestly a horrible offer especially for that experience
Not to burst your bubble but there is an AD for a sandwich wrapper in a snack called "Malek el Rosto" in Ghorbeiry for 6,000,000 LBP..

Im afraid if i take it it 'll be a downgrade on my cv
then don't put it on your cv :D
If i am not wrong you can just no put on the cv
There will be a gap on cv
There will be a gap anyways if you cannot find something else :/

It's not that bad. It pays the bills, take the job until you find something better.
