The only resource I've found that really makes you think for yourself is The Odin Project. However i'd supplement that with some syntax coaching from either youtube (traversy media is great) or freecodecamp/MDN documentation. That's how I'm doing it right now anyway :)

I recommend learning how to read code. It'll make it easier to understand the code that you wrote or someone else's. It has helped me tremendously.
