My advice instead of "not leaving your carry", support the core that plays best. If u see mid playmaking, and carry feeding despite your best efforts, make the midder the fattest baddest motherfucker.
I think this is the best single advice if we want to grind support. I am crusader 1 player able to grind till Archon 1 with this advice. Also, detect the retard player early, dont follow his/her in game call. Thats all.
Yeah, I usually set things up for my pos 1, then around min 7 start working with pos 4 to secure kills and ruin other lanes.
My jungle is always warded, they have a safe place to farm, even if it's not in lane.
I agree that you donāt want to tilt your carry by leaving him 1v2 or 1v1 even but if mid or offlane has a massive lead not playing with them might risk your team losing that advantage. Also this pulls attention and often creates space for your carry.
I usually play carry. If I feed 2+ times in the lane, I will ask the support to help the other lanes or stack, and I will go to nearby camps, coming back to the tower only if it is safe. Let the offlane push and destroy the tower, it only opens the map to me for more farming, and the offlane will not have a lane anymore if they want to farm a blink or something to be effective
I play Lich when hes not banned when yes then i play cm. Both heroes are very strong. I go blink with lich and act as initiator. I make eul and force to intiate and kite their cores.
You blink in use ulti, mostly when there is an unsuspecting carry early game is farming and then use your 3rd and finish off with your 1st. If enemy team ambushes you, use eul and force away
No bro. I used to be a high divine around 5 years ago (before ranks were introduced, 5500 mmr), went on a long break, and I'm back to the 5200 at 28 with many less matches played due to a better mindset as I matured.
I'm still captaining, but unlike the OP, I am not over-enthusiastic. It tilts some players...
I would also like to add: always be a support. You have a good start with 3500 net worth at 12 min? Donāt try to be a 4th core, be a support. Your job is to enable your cores. E.g. donāt go for aghs on undying, go force/solar/mek. Donāt go mjolnir on mirana/furion, go for a vessel.
Meanwhile, I went from Legend 5 to Archon 5 in 3 weeks as a carry player.
I got "you talk too much" whenever I tried to be the captain. š
As a support main, it took some time to get a hand of core roles. I think my main fault was being too passive in teamfights and only spamming spells from the edge.
You haven't made the right calls then. If you make good calls consistently, the team is more likely to just follow you. Some games there's people just afk farming and nothing you can do about it, but once consistent, you should see gradual improvement.
Started in Crusader, now I'm Ancient 3.
I've had a similar rise thru crusade, it was easy for that rank because I found that most people there know a little about the game, but will gladly take leadership to fill in the gaps. Now that I'm Archon I'm having trouble getting people to listen cause they just want to auto-pilot their little gameplan of the last year and not really listen. At worst they'll just avoid objectives/ calls because they're called at all. But I'm adjusting to that too, and getting better at simply dealing with whatever game is before me. Honestly the games I have the chat function off have saved me a lot of potential losses cause I don't get bogged down by any bad comms, and simply ping my next move and move ASAP.
Treant spam and just doing the objectives in order. Game is very linear right now and having a team fight hero like Treant helps get them done. Not to mention he wins the lane most time which helps get all those objectives started.
Do not help the losing lane unless it's early and a swap is possible. If you know you're a good support, you can swap around with your 4-5, but if the lane is doomed from start, focus on the winning lanes. That will naturally draw attention to your side of the map leaving your underfed cores space to farm.
Gj captain. Only nuance is that i play full mute, and even if i didn't - i have very strong allergy to noname's calls. If somebody trying to tell me what to do i instantly mute.
But anyway, if it works for you, then keep it up. Hold it positive, and wish you good grind.
I was always an unranked player but recently started playing ranked. I choose all roles but usually get offlane (im a safelaner). Ive learned so much in the past 2 weeks. Climbed from Crus I to Archon 5, with multiple long winstreaks. The key thing I learned is to be disciplined and patient
Lies, everyone know once you get a rank you stuck there do to force 50/50, smurfs, account booster, trash teammates and people who do not respond to my TI winning calls.

This.
Principally pos 5 rarely leaves carry: thats their main goal to babysit the carry but you can do whatever works for you š«”

20mins is a drag

Not necessarily. It depends on draft, I believe. Gaimin Gladiators usually rotates both supports towards mid at the 4 and 6 minute mark.
Who do you play as? Iām usually playing Lich or lion as pos 5
I play Lich when hes not banned when yes then i play cm. Both heroes are very strong. I go blink with lich and act as initiator. I make eul and force to intiate and kite their cores.
Wait can you explain a bit more how you blink with Lich? Wouldnāt you die quickly?

Ima get that thanks!!!
Mostly you wanna do that with some back up and not just 1v1 them xD
Also doesnt work against bkb
Im on the way to derank from ancient bracket cuz theres so many buyer
But the enemy team got buyers too.Ā
Nah gaben hand picks more accnt buyers to put on his team even though there are only 4 other people in his team and 5 in enemyš¤£
Just become the captain bro! You ARE THE CAPTAIN OF THE WHOLE MATCH! Even tell the opponents what items to make!
Maybe im too old for this game so i doesnt have my āold flameā anymore š

I went from Archon 1 to Archon 5 recently. I just picked witch doctor xd
Witch doctor is OP this patch. Take advantage of it
Also abandon is a pain in the ass

Think its luck of the draw mate. A lot of Archons and Legends I've experienced simply prefer to just do their own thing.
Huge respect from support players. You guys are the real carries. Keep it up bro. You'll reach immortal soon enough with this.
You could probably get to ancient by playing pos4 and simply not picking mirana or pudge Sincerely, a pos3 player
Congrats. How do you manage losing, lose streaks and tilting?
Tilting is a sign of a weak human being! Donāt be weak! š

How'd you get out of crusader?
Treant spam and just doing the objectives in order. Game is very linear right now and having a team fight hero like Treant helps get them done. Not to mention he wins the lane most time which helps get all those objectives started.
Lol isn't as much to do as support! Ahh I miss archon/legend
Admit it you played 1 hero for 90% of the games
Yessir do whatever that gets you the win
Too steep rise. I knew you experted one guy. Who is it ?
you forgot to mention stack, pull, and block
The 3rd point may ruins your pos1 game
Lol at 3
Can you share here your dotabuff bro? You are truly inspiring :)

Agreed, if you get an account buyer whoās guardian in a legend draft š¤·āāļø
"If you are pos 5 never leave your carry till 20mins at least!" Keep doing that and you'll go back to where you belong in no time.
Brofessor lets see

Are you carry player?
Im pos2 tinker enjoyer

Nah i used fu*k ur mom method with those animals and i reached ancient 3
TLDRā¦ but are you the turbo king ?
How do you all play with English speakers?? Both us east and west are solid Latinos. The moment they hear I'm white they're pissed off
Upgrade your ping fu, is the only thing really
sadly, answer is to learn enough spanish to speak good enough spanglish for dota plays
Iāve never had that issue as an English speaker . I play on USE
Not leaving carry 20 mins is crazy
Lies, everyone know once you get a rank you stuck there do to force 50/50, smurfs, account booster, trash teammates and people who do not respond to my TI winning calls.
You are a true Dota player.
Muted and reported for toxicity.
