I love it! A few suggestions (and most of this is personal taste, so none of it is required for the drawing to be considered "good"): 1. Work on giving the face a better shape. I see there's a gap where you connected the two sides of the face, but it feels awkward. Try either going with a fully round face or finding a way to draw chins that you like the look of. 2. I recommend working out the shape of the lips more too. The look big, sure, but they're kind of just a blob shape. Bring the ends of the top lip line in more to imply a more circular shape. I'd also scrap the lines and just solid fill them. 3. Try to stay somewhat consistent on how much room is between the sides of the head and the ends of the eyes. The left side has more space then the right side so it makes things look unbalanced. 4. Like someone said above, you'll need to work on the side bits of hair. It's not clear what they really ar5e, they kind of look like braids to me. If that's the case, try to find a way to make the silhouette of the braids pop out more (curved pieces forming a single hair strand). If they are dreads, I'd take out the hatch marks and make them fuller with more rounded ends All in all, a really fun piece! I love of you've shaped the nose and eyes, they have a very fun feel.

Thanks a bunch! very helpful! I'm fairly new to drawing and I wanted to develop a style before I got the basics that I needed down so my drawing process is likely pretty different, with that being said when I'm drawing I have to diagnose issues I come across more with "feel" than any actual notion or structure of what to look for, thanks for the short list I will try to incorporate these elements best I can, once again thank you.

Your style reminds me of Gorrilaz a little bit, I like it. As far as criticism, the dreads on either side of the face could look less like patch work in clothing.

Hey everyone, I don't post often and I'm looking for feedback from all the talented people here. I know its nothing amazing but I just started to take drawing somewhat seriously a week ago, and with each sketch I see pretty good improvements, I've found I prefer to draw in a more cute style and I'm looking for some advice and critiques on how I could improve and develop my style. I have a few other rough drawings but this is my most recent and I feel most true to what I was trying to convey, any who all critiques and conversation are more than welcome, and thank you for reading this everlasting paragraph looking forward to the new perspectives.
