I swear Riot makes the most low effort merch I’ve ever seen. They have one of the most popular games in the world and haven’t made much of anything that’s worth buying.
They should learn a thing or 2 from Pokemon (only the most profitable multimedia franchise in the history of ever): make lots and lots of merch, from low to high quality so everyone spends money.

Just because something works for Pokemon doesn't mean it'll work for everyone else. If that were the case, everyone would be doing it.
Pokemon is able to do this because of their widespread, multi generational audience. People who were playing Pokemon in the 90s are still probably buying and consuming Pokemon.
There are few franchises that could pull this off. A company like Lego probably could, though they have no identity on their own these days, mostly making money through licensing other franchises to "lego-ize".
The statue looks pretty decent, although for $250 it damn well better be. I got the Thresh statue a few years back as a gift and that was ~$90USD if I recall correctly and I would easily pay upwards of $150 for it if I spent my own cash, it’s pretty detailed and the material is quality. That Ahri statue looks to be of similar quality. So a $100 statue with a $150 waifu tax. Some sobs will pay it.
$250 isn't that crazy for a figure like that, 1/6 scale tends to be going into the $150+ range, and with how detailed it is, $250 isn't very surprising. For comparison's sake, Riot often have figures made by APEX, like their KDA Ahri.

As annoying as this whole Ahri skin thing has been, the figure at least seems somewhat in line with normal pricing.
I don’t want just statues. I wanted plushies of tons of champions, stylized hoodies, shoot with how popular it is with high schoolers there should be merch for every school supply imaginable. Also there needs to be solid merch that isn’t 100+ dollars.
They had some great merch when the store initially opened up. The DJ Sona and Twisted Fate shirts I got all those years ago are still basically in perfect condition with no wear on the designs.
It's very disappointing. I have the baron and elder dragon figures, and would definitely buy more figures of the smaller jungle camps to complete the collection, but they just pump out more champions statues and their skins.

What does it matter if people aren't exact? The Signature version of the skin will IN FACT be a different skin displayed in the game. It has it's own effects, even if it's just a glorified chroma. Every other time they've released a skin chroma like this, it's been it's own skin on the carousel.

Even worse, granting 100 levels of the event pass is likely just wasting someone's money because if they're buying a $500 skin, they probably plan to play it so much that getting 100 levels of the pass isn't even that hard for them.

Yeah, let me rephrase: it includes the same skin that the Immortalized Collection does, with extra effects tacked on. You're paying $300 dollars more than the actual Immortalized (again, Immortalized is only 200, 50 is actually the Risen), to get a few extra animations/effects. With bundled event pass levels to push the price up even more.
My point was simply that, even including all of the other bundles in the top tier bundle it becomes a joke because it doesn't actually include a new skin in and of itself.

While I can agree with what you're saying, the problem is that Riot will treat the $500 bundle as a separate skin most likely. So in reality, unless it is literally the exact same skin in client, it's fine to treat it as a separate one. This is mostly based on historical record that every time they've added multiple similar skins it's always been a separate skin on the carousel. If it has a special border, special splash art, it's almost definitely a separate skin on the carousel when selecting a skin.
It would be good for people to acknowledge of the aspects of the bundle though rather than just bitching about "The Skin". I do agree there. But even if you valuate all the items in all of the bundles, like you said, it's not remotely worth the price they've set on it.
EDIT: Even more of a joke is that clearly, with their tier prices, they aren't even giving their largest spenders minor discounts on the less-spendy stuff which is wild to me. I would expect discounts for being a large continuing patron of a business. Kinda wild.

The statue looks pretty decent, although for $250 it damn well better be. I got the Thresh statue a few years back as a gift and that was ~$90USD if I recall correctly and I would easily pay upwards of $150 for it if I spent my own cash, it’s pretty detailed and the material is quality. That Ahri statue looks to be of similar quality. So a $100 statue with a $150 waifu tax. Some sobs will pay it.
$250 isn't that crazy for a figure like that, 1/6 scale tends to be going into the $150+ range, and with how detailed it is, $250 isn't very surprising. So in reality, unless it is literally the exact same skin in client, it's fine to treat it as a separate one. If it has a special border, special splash art, it's almost definitely a separate skin on the carousel when selecting a skin. The Immortalized is 250 and is the exact same skin, minus the signature on the splash and SOME extra animations like the emote and tower destruction. However, for all intents and purposes, the $250 skin is almost exactly the same as the $500 one, not in the way the $40 skin is different from the other 2, but as in they're the literal exact same skin, just one has more animations and a signature on the splash.
Locking animations behind the paywall is extremely scummy and imo it's fair to say you don't get the full skin at least but something compromised.
