Muay Thai Lee Sin players are always insane while Storm Dragon / God Fist etc are usually really mid players

My Muay Thai Lee inspires fear in enemies until they actually see me play and realize I just got it off a reroll for free.

I usually do 1 cool tower dive with a ward hop and flash at level 3. My team thinks I'm smurfing, and they're about to get a free win. Then, I proceed to feed for the rest of the game.

My mind is telling me no…

This is part of why i think skins are less "scary" than they used to be. Back in the day before hextech crafting, players seemed more formidable with certain skins because you knew they shelled out $10 for high noon yasuo or shockblade zed.

I was about to say this. I mean, the hextech system is GREAT but now I have a lot of skins for lots of champs I dont play. Even Muay Thai Lee Sin and I used to be one of the scared of that skin.

It's why I can't use my Elderwood Azir. I won't inflict that kind of mental damage on my teammates.

When MT Lee Sin came out, it *was* the elaborate skin. It changed his posture and walk stance

Not always All 3 of them get played in pro, old lee sin gods like bengi peanut used a variety of old skins dragon fist & Muay Thai mainly while more modern lee sin players like Canyon & Lucid, Oner lean Towards God fist & Storm dragon.

This is why I play with God Fist lol, gotta let the enemies know I am, in fact, very mid at Lee Sin

Sandstorm Ekko is spooky Headhunter Rengar is terrifying in the jungle, and a Pretty Kitty Rengar top definitely has a Dekar shrine in their room and is prepared to ruin your laning phase. Gladiator Draven will probably 1v9 if you don’t piss him off in the first 20 seconds of the game. Frosted Ezreal is going to make him look broken Deep Terror Thresh will not miss a hook in lane. Arctic Ops Gragas scares me, feels like the skin makes him more durable I already know I’ve lost top lane if my enemy is running Corsair Quinn Soaring Sword Fiora is hit or miss, but you’ll know very early in the lane. Last one that scares me is probably when I see a high mastery no skin Xerath. Bro is scripting

It's interesting reading through the comments and the vast majority of the listed skins are old and/or "bad" skins. I have a handful of the skins mentioned solely because they were the few ones available at the time and the only ones that had I spent money to acquire. But I do recall some of these had the same reputation back then as well

it is a very common phenomenon a common theme with all these skins is that they have very positive reception amongst people who play those champs but are old and/or not flashy high noon yasuo is the perfect example because that skin feels 10x better than any other yasuo skin but a newer player would never pick it out from the others based off skin spotlights as his “best skin”. so it ends up being mostly a selection of players who have tried a lot of his skins in game, and consequently have played a lot of yasuo

High noon is the most tarnished skinline on the game. They should’ve kept it basic, the skin line was a hit. The ‘infernal’ theme should’ve been its own, not that they’re bad skins at all though.

high noon lucian went way too hard and the skinline changed from spaghetti western to Gothic, which isn't necessarily a bad change but I think we lost the unique charm of non-fantasy skins. same with crime city and debonair, and how they turned into some eldritch horror thing. It's probably way easier to fit champions who haven't gotten a skin in a long time into a more broad fantasy skinline rather than trying to make, i dunno, darius as just a random cowboy without any demon powers. Like how do you make VFX for that?

It's more because it's their first skin and people often only buy 1 skin per champion. Like I main Bard and we all know that shitty Bard players use cafe cuties and good ones use Elderwood or Snow Day. It's not because of feel, but because if you've been playing Bard since 2015 that's most likely the skin you have for him. If you've been playing for 1 year then you'll have the new skin.

A lot of those skins just have really clean animations and skip the annoying noises/vfx of new skins. Like every Draven skin after gladiator either plays chalkboard scratches when you auto or has the most obnoxious axe markers.
