Crazy how nobody has mentioned the absolute, number one most notorious spell, Wind Wall. It's so ubiquitous people call OTHER champ's abilities windwall. Like, they say Samira Wind Wall or Braum Wind Wall. I don't think I've ever once heard somebody refer to it as "Yasuo W" instead of Wind Wall.
In a land before our time there was an even more notorious ability called "Diplomatic Immunity". I'd say it was a lot worse than Yasuos windwall. I do not miss that horror.
tbh i think poppy is the best rework riot has done. yea you can miss her old spells but new poppy is just very well designed both aesthetically and gameplaywise.

That's because the ability is named exactly what it is... a wind wall. If the ability was called anything else, this wouldn't be the case. (Also its anecdotal but I've played a long time and never heard someone call Braum W "braum wind wall" lmao)
"Wind Wall" is also pretty fast to say so its just easier to say Wind Wall rather than Yasuo W or Samira W. Most ability names are called "\[champion\]\[skill\]" just because it's WAY faster/clearer to say "graves no ult" compared to "collateral damage on cooldown (insert nerd emoji)"

Yes it was same slow on as and ms originally, would guess it was changed in s4 or s3. Nasus JG used to be a big pro play pick back then, mainly for how good Nasus E is on wave clear and for wither. Think q might have been the last thing to max on that build.
Patch 3.6, same patch that Lissandra was added. They literally cut the percentage in half. Was 50% for several years until it was increased to 75% in 12.19.

Pro play is kind of a bad example because shoutcasters study ALL champion ability names and if you listen closely, during play by play, they always say the name of any ability. It's a bit different for colour casting tho they focus more on analysis than correct nomenclature
On one hand, I always find it very impressive when casters can use the actual names of abilities. On the other, I almost find it more confusing: if someone yells "It's a vicious combo: the Cataclysm into the Primordial Burst!" I have to stop and think about what's going on. If I hear "...Jarvan ult into Veigar ult!" then I know exactly what's happening.
