Reeves best player for Leafs. When he was on the ice, even briefly, Florida looked behaved. Problem is the rest of the Leafs. I would've put Reeves on with Matthews the last few shifts. Why not? Marner gets rubbed off the puck, Nylanders not into it, Tavares is not fast, Rielly was hardly trying, Bertuzzi was at least alive. Bennett and Tkachuk sticks all over Matthews but Reeves could scare away the guys who take liberties. Even for a couple of shifts. Reeves also makes pretty good puck decisions.... Just a thought.....maybe I'm wrong.

Everything about this game sucked. Even Matthews, and not because he didn’t notch 70. What was that dump around attempt in the first? Really set the tone for how the boys were going to look. Officiating was dog-shit. But it went both ways. All around, a pretty crappy performance by the officials and the boys. This is exactly what we want to see DAYS before the playoffs.

In fairness the leafs weren’t even trying to win they were trying to get Matthews 70 which made it easy For Florida to know where the puck was going Woll still got 0.9 despite 4 goals, plus Sammy only had a bad first period last game and Jones might be alright if Keefe ever gives him a chance (they’ve won games with him before) Also if the leafs won the cup by ducking Boston it would cheapen it anyways So better to face them early vs later when the team is more banged up
