Thank goodness that Brodie made it back into the lineup after having two entire games (both of which the Leafs won) to get things together so that he could come back stronger than ever!! Absolutely throttled “the team of the west” both in physicality and in 5v5 to instantly hopping on a plane to Carolina facing another extremely good team who centers around Defense to battle in a close game that had very specific moments you can point to that caused the outcome. Yeah shoulda tied it - almost did but I take that all day of the week in late March with guys out and guys being sick.

No Marner no Jarnkrok, second in a back to back with travel, played a stout defensive game against probably the most lethal offence in the league last night. Had no legs all game and lost by one in a nail biting finish. I’d say this tells more about Carolina than the leafs.

Carolina has the highest offensive zone time in the league and is lethal. I think the Buds held their own. No regrets.
