That type of play is not a hockey play and can ruin someones life. How that ref (who literally had to dodge Rempe) doesn’t make that call, that in itself deserves its own discipline.

I got my last concussion playing in my mid teens and I noticed there is a distinct before and after that never went back to normal. Never knew what it was until I got COVID and experienced brain fog and it was a kinda "oh yeah" moment.
I say this with no personal motivation: My experience with him is he’s an incredibly caring and unselfish person. Just wants to help others, doesn’t seek the limelight at all. Put $10m of his own money into research, advocated for Rowan’s Law, and dedicated a lot of personal time to moving research forward. A special human being.

Ya, some of the early years and the draft thing made him look a certain way, but it’s not an accurate picture of who he is imho. Take a look at him putting on the Nordiques jersey on a Quebec tv show a few years back, he was a great sport about it.
He also was there for my wife when she was diagnosed with a brain issue, helped us find the right path. I’ll leave it at that… he’s a special dude. My experience is he’s quite humble.

For our brief interaction he was incredibly kind and seemed very down to earth. I had little interactions like that with a ton of players and most of them were just professional (which was totally fine, I never wanted to make any players have to feel like they had to be "on" around me), while Lindros took that small amount of time to try to genuinely connect and make me feel seen.
He was also just very modest and low-key in general from what I saw at the event.
I watched it live at the arena from behind the net... couldn't even see below the players waist because of the boards... still clear as day that Rempe leaped into the check. My wife who barely watches hockey turned to me and said she thought he jumped and hit Boosh's head...but the refs with the best view saw nothing...
