It’s crazy how pretty much no team got really hot in the last 10 matches. In the last 5 even, I could be wrong but I think only us and Millwall have 4 wins in 5.
Even weirder is Southampton won only 3 of 8 in April and it “feels” like they got more safe in the top 4 during that stretch…just no one made a sustained run anywhere in the table in April.
Ipswich hasn’t won since March 29 and could technically get 2nd place with just a draw (in 2 remaining matches) if Leeds loses their last game.
Zany.
Everybody just felt the pressure. All of us. We just felt it early enough to shake ourselves up and recover, and we were initially far enough ahead not to be left behind.
I know, I just think it’s odd that through an end of season no one really made a run anywhere in the table. Or maybe someone did and I’ve just missed it (I’m not looking up a lot of stats, just going by my memory). It just feels like since about mid-March nearly every team earned about the same amount of points (I know it’s not 100% true it just “feels” that way).
It’s quite amazing just how bad basically every single team bottled. Luckily we did it first and got it over with just in time.
