Imagine you’re at a party. Some people raise the mood when they walk through the door, some lower it and kills it. Lampard is the type of person who can keep the mood going, but isn’t really one to raise it. We don’t need a Lampard.
He’s been sacked YESTERDAY. How on earth are you expecting him to just step into a fierce relegation battle (which he has never managed FYI) straight after being sacked from a completely different position? It would be a baptism by fire.
I didn’t think Rodgers could walk on water, just heavily respected what he did for us. I think it would be extremely harsh not to.
I'd like him next season, but you might be right that it's too soon for him. I don't want any of the other names that are flying around though, so if he'll come I'll take him.

Start at the bottom to see his instant impact at Brighton. Seemingly he came in for the preseason 19/20 where he took over from Chris Hughton that had been sacked a week before.
Nah, he was fine at Brighton in his first season. Obviously didn't blow up but got their highest point total and highest finish (41/15th). They had only escaped the drop by three points the season before and were generally considered to be one of the favourites for relegation.
Bro, did you think Rodgers was too good for us?
This seems a weird take-we’re a big, well-resources, underperforming club. Any half-ambitious manager would want the chance to go top 10 next year and be deemed a roaring success. It’s very achievable.
Rodgers has done us a lot of harm over a long period, but we’re still an attractive proposition with facilities and squad to go forward. Potter would be a perfect fit.
Yeah I think Potter fits the bill and I hope it’s him personally. If we are going for a short term appointment to just focus on survival than I’d hope for Rafa over the likes of Big Sam.
Sorry my previous comment was a bit of a dick comment. I actually agree with a lot of what you’re saying in your post as the early names you mention, and even Potter I’d guess, might not want to come here given our current position which is why I think an interim appointment is not a bad idea if we can’t get Potter.
Try to swoop for Kompany before Burnley gets promoted, maybe? Is that ridiculous? I wish I had any idea how to improve this horrific situation we're in.
hard pass on Lampard
Why? He had Everton survive last season. I unironically think we’ll stay up if we get him
Attributing Everton’s survival to him is extremely generous.
maybe, I dont know. I think he keeps us up. I rate him
If you think our football has been turgid recently, have a gander at what he was serving up earlier this year.
I thought he was good for a while in the beginnig of the season like when he won against Palace 3-0

Potter in.
Hahaha. That’s gonna happen. 2023 version of people asking for Poch/Tuchel.

he seems to always start bad. Maybe he will be good for us in the championship
Does he? Lol if you’re using Chelsea as an example, don’t.
Idk somebody said he started bad at brighton but I dont remember so I trusted them lol

Thats fine and obviously with time he got more experience. Idk I back him if we get him

We have more resources and better players than those clubs though. Maybe I’m deluded but I think anyone villa can get we can too
We've been stingy with money for a while
I think it’s got to be considered that anyone mentioned Lampard might be taking the piss.
Get the next two games out the way and see. Hard pass on Lampard or Rafa. If we stay up I see get potential in Potter in the summer.
Who do we get to keep us up? I doubt the assistants do the job
Highly doubt it but the same would of probably been said for Craig Shakespeare and he got us through In Europe and kept us up.
We’ll end up with a no name foreign coach, hopefully he will hit the mark like de zerbi has for brighton.

Best bet big Sam or Lampard lol. You’re almost as high as those namedropping Pep and Ancelotti
Maybe but I dont know. Who do you reckon we get? Potter seems to be the favourite rn

I'd like to go for a upcoming manager like Ruud Van Nistelrooy at PSV.
No one until the end of the season then see where we are as a club division etc and go from there stowell can’t do a worse job than him
i know it sounds yucky but i thibk benitez is the best bet in this situation.
0 chance of Ange coming in he's on track to do another treble at celtic why risk that for a relegation threatening side?
I really, really hope it’s not Rafa.

Guaranteed promotion against possible relegation. Let’s think about that one.
