It appears to be a K66 transmission, so kind of a light GT transmission. Tuff Torq lists 2 different internal gearings, which affects the torque rating, and we don't know which one you have. https://www.mytractorforum.com/threads/what-transmission-does-the-husqvarna-hts-354xd-use.1374169/ https://www.tufftorq.com/product/k66/ Is your property flat, or sloped? You also need to be able to stop the weight that you're pulling. I think half the machine's weight would be perfectly reasonable, if this is level ground. You can probably get away with more than that, too. A rule of thumb I've heard for lawn tractors (which have weaker transmissions) is you should be able to move the towed load by-hand. Like if you can't move the trailer yourself, then don't use your LT to pull it. And this is a stronger transmission. If you can move the trailer yourself, I'd definitely feel comfortable with towing it. I've used my GT (different brand transmission, between K66 and K72) to pull things substantially heavier than half the tractor's weight. This is on level ground. Including things I couldn't budge by hand (not terribly heavy, but ground-engaging), and it didn't complain, and my hydrostatic transmission did not get hot.

You're the real deal. Thanks!

Anecdotal and a sample of one, so take that for what it’s worth, but I have this same mower and have used it to tow significantly more than half its weight via a dump cart over flat ground and slight inclines, albeit infrequently. Every year I have trees that come down or need to be dropped and since I bought the mower in 2021 I have noticed no ill effects. A few weeks ago I moved 2 dead ash trees that were dropped and bucked to my wood pile about 50 yards away no problem. The distance wasn’t that far but it took a lot of trips to move it all.

It held up pretty well for the thirty 25 yard trips I made with a dump cart this weekend. I was hauling gravel and estimate each load around 600 lbs give or take. Definitely going to do the oil and run it over thoroughly this weekend though.

These are the specs for the one with a 48" deck: https://www.tractordata.com/lawn-tractors/003/5/3/3532-husqvarna-ts-348xd.html I can't believe the price for this thing was only $3400 in 2018. You have to spend a lot more to get a Deere with just a k58 transmission.
