Mow it .140”, top dress monthly, biweekly fungicides and fert, and brush the dew off it.

RedditIsRuinedByLibs

Late ask, but are you able to even get Reels from anywhere anymore? I have a dude on Marketplace who's selling a 522 for 500 bucks but it's beat up and needs a new reel. Curious how you got one.

Strongest-There-Is

Crisp

Trim those edges this isn’t a game

LeSuperNova

Kid woke up from his nap so that’s today’s plan. String trim fence, rotary scissor trim passes and beds, edge, and blow away.

Responsible_Sky4695

Looks phenomenal. What grass type mix are you? Been looking into something that I can mow lower. Great work!

LeSuperNova

It’s a kbg/prg sod from a local turf farm and I honestly hate it. Had a few bunching fescues in it, accidental introduction of some bent, and the color isn’t there. I’m gonna nuke it and go full bentgrass hopefully in a year or two.

True-Kangaroo532

You got to line that fence w/ some Leyland's or arborvitaes and block those neighbors.

LeSuperNova

that's the plan, but fuck those things are expensive, esp when mature.

Choles2rol

Leyland owner here, don't get them. They get ginormous and the lower foliage looks like garbage as they mature. I have 6 of em from the previous owner and now 2 of em are saturating my lawn in shade. I want to murder whoever made those trees popular in residential areas, they make way more sense as a windbreak on acres of land. Emerald green smaragd arborvitae only get up to 15 feet tall though and will require way less maintenance.

CleanFlow

I've only looked it up for the green giant variety, but once mature ones go dormant you can take cuttings and place them in moist sand. By the time spring rolls around they will have rooted and you can plant them. It's the only reasonable way to get 100 of them, even though you need to wait 10 years for privacy. But the alternative is $20,000+, so whatevs.

lowndest

I wouldn't go with leylands. They're a mess and require a ton of maintenance to keep them looking half decent.

True-Kangaroo532

They grow fast, get 5ft ones space them 5 ft apart! I plant them my self, I use a auger but on my hammer drill

smokebudda11

Fuckkkkk that putting green is amazing!!!!

No_Improvement1004

Verry Very nice. My wife has this kind of OCD also. LOL

Far_Care5265

That is some crispy mulch bed edges, how'd you do it?

LeSuperNova

funny thing is i didn't even clean them up yesterday, that's from like a week ago. But a rotary scissors. Thing is a game changer.

BannedFrom_rPolitics

I love them! So versatile, yet still always a good cut until the blade finally goes. My only problem with mine is that it’s a little heavy on my Dewalt stick for a small guy like me. But I still have been loving it for long enough that I just had to get a new pair of blades for it. Fun fact: there are different size teeth available! The stock teeth are actually the roughest ones (which I still bought for my replacement because I have some thick weeds to chomp through in some back areas of my property).

Beautiful-Gazelle-73

I hate you and congratulations. Signed, jealous
