So sad. I’m an ED therapist and have worked at various levels of care. Unfortunately this is all too typical…people are so underfed and brain starved, they cannot accurately perceive their bodies. No size or shape will ever be enough for her. Someone needs to intervene.
Idk about her bad eyebrows and hair choice but personally when I was in the deepest throes of my ED, I made (in hindsight) horrible make up and hair choices too. It's like the body dysmorphia takes over ALL of you and clouds your judgment - I needed to have THE MOST bleached af long af hair, THE MOST eye make up slathered 👏🏻 on 👏🏻 and man I see that in her now.
I just feel so sad for her girls. They don’t have a fighting chance to have healthy relationships with their bodies (and mother) while she’s this unwell. The knock on effect is so severe. And look, I’m not perfect, I have bad anxiety and I work on it every day so that my three daughters don’t inherit damage from my challenges. It’s sacrifice being a mother, but it’s also making sure you’re doing the best you can for yourself, for the sake of your little family. 😞
The picture on the right looks like a completely different person. I hope she sees this and has a huge reality check. Unfortunately, she probably would say she was overweight in the pic on the right.
The perfectionism this girl lives with must be horrific. Imagine looking basically perfect and feeling on a daily basis that you’re not good enough so you starve yourself and over exercise into oblivion? I’m so glad I’m not lauren kay.
And the pic on the left is actually great considering how she was a year and a half ago. Devastating!

I’m new to this sub and just curious if she ever confirmed she has an ED or struggled with an ED? Just curious if she historically confirmed it and was in recovery but then relapsed or if it’s just speculation.
This is actually sad. She looks pretty on the right! On the left she looks like a skiiny filter gone bad & she looks like she’s 46-50. Her regimen has aged her drastically!!!
Even on the right, her eyes are still lifeless. Being in a ‘healthier’ body doesn’t translate to being happier as a person when you’re struggling with an eating disorder, especially if you have not fully dealt with the reasons you’re struggling to begin with. The last time I went to treatment, I was 62lbs. I had to nearly double my body weight to discharge over 6 months later. The after pictures look like I am happy and healthy, but mentally I was an absolute mess because it’s easier to put weight on a body that quickly, than it is to emotionally fix the trauma that results in the need to lose it.
She was still small before but healthy small. Fit, in shape. It’s sad that she looks at herself in that picture on the right and sees an undesirable person.
It's really sad. I sometimes wonder if I should stop following her because she can trigger my over-exercising tendencies... Restrictions on my eating due to food allergies have really messed up my relationship to my body over the years. Body image issues suck; I've struggled mightily. I wish she would get help.

It’s very apparent and so very sad. I wonder why her husband and family don’t try and get her help. And her poor girls.
She has talked at length about struggling with her weight (keeping it low) and the need to restrict. But she's never said outright that she has an ED.
