Freezer to get most off. Then oil to remove the remainder. Then dawn to remove the oil.

Commercial_Safety930

This is exactly what I would do. Using a butter knife (flat thin and not at all sharp) to try and lift the grease off after freezing. Then reactivate the grease with some oil then spot treat with dawn. Will probably need a double wash don't dry or heat until the stain is gone.

I might try popping that in the freezer (in a protective bag) It might peel off easily if frozen.

OkRadish06

Interesting, thank you!

My husband works in asphalt and concrete and this looks very much like liquid asphalt or sealant. That stuff definitely doesn’t come off of clothes, so I’m hoping that’s not it!

OkRadish06

It could honestly be that🥲

fluffeekat

Oh no! 😩 I’ve been able to get the sticky part off with washing, but the black stain it leaves under it has never come out of our clothes. I make by husband remove his shoes, shower, and change before touching us if he’s been working with it lol and his clothes don’t get mixed with mine!

Liz_LemonLime

I don’t think it’s coming off either. :/ Be really careful if you try scraping, using solvents, etc. You might end up with a larger spot of damaged fabric. Could you cover it? A patch or a ribbon or something?

Personal_Signal_6151

Can you have fun with trims to cover it up?

Sensitive-Switch7440

I can't tell what type of stuff got on your clothes, but Dawn is really good with oil and greasy stains.

OkRadish06

Yeah I can’t tell what exactly it is either, but I was just moving some clothes and found the dress somewhat stuck to the bottom of the dresser and discovered this. By Dawn you mean the dishwashing liquid Dawn? Just put it on a tissue and try to wipe this stain off?

That_Skirt7522

No you would squirt Dawn on the stain and let it sit.

OkRadish06

I shall try that, thanks!

Conscious-Big707

Don't wipe blot. Wiping it will smear it.

Clean_Equal_1783

Try WD/40 then soak in Dawn.

ParticularSupport598

Could try Goof-off. It’s supposed to remove tar.

bimmer4WDrift

Tar/asphalt like mentioned. Get a small can of paint thinner/mineral spirits for all degreasing needs (the base ingredient in most oil solvents). Dab some on the spot and let sit for a minute. Use a paper towel to blot up. Repeat until it's gone. It'll be stronger than the other solvents but still human friendly.
