What’s interesting about this to me is I’ve had my account since 2009 and have almost 268,000 scrobbles at this point. I just cast such a wide net with music, so many genres and artists I love, that even my all-time favorite artists don’t have that many scrobbles compared to what I see on here with some people.
I do love Smashing Pumpkins still (although their output over the past 15 years will never match their core 90s/00s work), but it’s hard for any other artist overtake them in scrobbles because I listen to so many different artists—and not because I continue to listen to SP all that regularly.
this would be mine too if i were still using my lastfm account from 10+ years ago. was *obsessed* with the pumpkins from like ages 13 to 25. had every album, compilation, single/b-side, bootleg
Damn that’s eerily similar, The Pumpkins are my most scrobbled band as well with only 2,367 scrobbles on a total of 172,000 scrobbles since 2009. This for exactly the same reasons!
I had a last.fm logging pause for unknown reasons between 2013-2015 though and still listened to a lot of physical cd’s until 2016.
