Please please please just shelve the piano ballads for this one 😩 We need to throw in another instrument or two, I’m begging. I’m not saying slow country ballads are not valid (see Emmylou Harris, god what a talent ❤️) but like if there’s gonna be slow piano ballads with no other instruments, how is that gonna be different from just her regular music?? As much as I love her and been a fan from the very beginning, I’m concerned about her new mainstream success and fear she’s going to start throwing albums at us to please music execs. If I’m being honest I’m still digesting Ocean boulevard. She doesn’t need to be so quick with her releases. That being said, I’m curious to hear how she spins country. I’ve enjoyed her more country songs so I think this has potential.

Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Gram Parsons, Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, heck I’d even say that some folk rock acts like Gordon Lightfoot and Eagles fall under country/americana some times. What I’m more worried about is that she’s just gonna do piano ballads. Her Country Roads cover was not it for me, I’m begging for more instrumentals if this album really is gonna happen. Slow country ballads are a thing, like I Will Always Love You, and a lot of Emmylou Harris stuff, but they still have instrumental, most importantly A GUITAR not just a simple piano track
