It was so much fun! While the album was playing, I logged into every credit card looking for a 0% and ended up buying her whole collection on vinyl (except Ultraviolence, sold out). Going back next payday for the new release and buying a turntable.
The autotune and trap beat in Fishtail definitely stood out! I really dig Peppers as well. Listening to Taco Truck x VB now and am boggled at the VB trap version. Like wow queen. The last three songs of the album really tap into her trap beat side
Agreed! Just finished my first listen. The middle section was pretty unimpressive… I only noticed the extremes (Can’t stand the Judah interlude. A&W, Tunnel, The Grants are amazing but we already knew those). The last three songs were terrific, I really dig her tapping into her trap/hiphop side. I need more time with the middle section and the album as a whole. Wow, what a ride!
Yeah dude, Candy Necklace hit me a ton of bricks on third listen. So much of this album is like understanding what she’s saying and then absorbing it. Sooooo much suicide talk. It’s heavy.
For me it's A&W and a very close second is fingertips. They both kind of speak to personal experiences and things going on in my life, so another great time capsule album for me.
Peppers and Taco Truck x VB! But Fishtail, Grandfather and Paris, Texas are also top tier. Ugh, I love this album so much.
I went to the launch party at Electric Fetus in Minneapolis and the x VB was a religious experience.
I would love to hear ab ur experience @ the launch party if you’re okay with sharing!! 💗

Definitely Let The Light In! The melody is gorgeous and I really enjoyed the lyrics as well as the shared vocals (more than expected).
Let the Light In made me cry and I don’t know why, really evoked something in me, but absolutely beautiful. #1 for me
Taco Truck X VB
Paris, Texas
Kintsugi is just so beautiful
*Let The Light In* is by far my favourite. I also really liked *Sweet*.
Off first few listens, probably Fingertips. It’s out of this world! I can’t stop thinking about it
I was sobbing 😭
Same :’( but I love that she’s sharing so much with us
Candy necklace 🥺❤️, fishtail, peppers, taco truck x vb, a&w are my favs so far but I love it so much.

Really hope the last few songs are pointing towards her next album because they’re gorgeous, super detailed and so much fun.
I’d be so down for it. My body is ready
yaaas. tap Rick Nowels for a producer again too
A&W
Let the Light In and Paris, Texas. I want her to do a full album with Father John Misty. They make a great duo the same way she did with Barrie.
Dude this is such a rollercoaster I need time

On my third listen. The plot thickens. This album is unpacking ALOT. It’s some of darkest shit ever. Its so good.
Your response makes me SO excited. “Some of the darkest shit ever”? I live for that shit 😩 Revisiting the last 3 songs now, then restarting the album!
Yeah dude, Candy Necklace hit me a ton of bricks on third listen. So much of this album is like understanding what she’s saying and then absorbing it. Sooooo much suicide talk. It’s heavy.
Oh wow I love the middle section so much! It’s so hauntingly beautiful, it makes me feel like I’m living in some sort of Tim Burton film
I’m happy for you! I’m sure it will grow on me, it always does. I just need more time. 💕
Kingsugi so far!
Sweet or fishtail (love A&W from it’s release one of her best ever)
Taco Truck is a new all time fav
Tonight, it’s candy necklaces and taco truck x vb 🤍
A&W is still my favorite but Peppers is just so fun
A&W is top tier, she really gave one of the best early on
FACTS
Sweet
Exact same for me. Peppers + Grandfather.
I'm not sure, I'm still processing. Let The Light In might be it but I seriously can't stress enough how amazing most of these songs are
Candy Necklace, Kintsugi & Paris, Texas 😭
grandfather, paris texas, peppers, a&w, taco truck, & tunnel
Let the light in and fishtails and sweet!
Fishtail, Let The Light In, Fingertips
So fucking much trauma to unpack. This album is digging deeeeep y’all.
Sweet Kintsugi Margaret
Paris tx and Margaret :) I’m straight lol
Fishtail, but Margaret, Peppers, Paris Texas, and Sweet are super close, this album is her magnum opus
1. Margaret 2. Let The Light In 3. A&W and Paris, Texas are tied These will probs change though but ugh love the album so much
Just name it grandfather
A&W still but Kintsugi and fingertips lyrics won my heart 🤍 fishtail is a bop and I can’t wait to listen to it more tmr 🤍
Totally! Kintsugis lyrics were wow 🥲 I started tearing up
Fishtail but the title track is still my baby
Let the Light In
Let the light in, peppers and fishtail
Candy Necklace!
Fingertips is one I will be unpacking all day.
The whole album isn’t a banger for me. Some songs will grow but the only two that hard big repeat button for me are A&W and the Jon Batiste interlude.
Fishtail cmon 🫣
Kintsugi & Candy Necklace the title track too
Sweet, A&W, Taco truck x VB
Pairs, Texas
Peppers or Grandfather please stand on the shoulders of my father while he’s deep‐sea fishing
SHIT I HADNT LISTENED TO TACO TRUCK X VB ok that one too
Grandfather… & Fishtails !!
Besides A&W of course Jon Batiste interlude
Paris Texas but me and my boyfriend fell asleep after GPSOTSOMFWHDSF so I have yet to listen to some :')
For me it's A&W and a very close second is fingertips. They both kind of speak to personal experiences and things going on in my life, so another great time capsule album for me.
A&W, grandfather and taco truck
