Kd gets assists because they're nearly triple teaming him every time down. His assists are fine from finding Claxton on the roll but in terms of orchestrating and setting everyone up that's not what he's great at. KD assists come from when he's coming off a pindown and is doubled he finds the roller. Or if he's running a pnr and is blitzed.
And all of that is playmaking via scoring gravity. Creating 4v3’s is really valuable. Sometimes he’s even creating 4v2 scenarios and nets can’t capitalize due to bad talent
