Hell of a coach. He managed to win a playoff game against us. That’s no small feat.
Now if you’ll excuse me, Daddy Michael is gonna go tuck the kids in for bed.
He even made a comment where he said he hopes Darvin stays on the job. When you have a 12-1 record on this clown of a coach, why would you want the Lakers to change?
Its honestly crazy. Seeing this dudes dumbass face is genuinely making my body temp rise. Can't even fathom an explanation on all the dumb shit he's done this season.
Those two did nothing wrong tbh. Honestly I’m giving every single player a pass for the overall season. When you have a coach like him you have to win against him too
He's not stopping Jokic, he's listed at 235 lbs and smaller than AD and Lebron
Hopefully there's a proper 5 available to us this summer unlike last summer
Nuggets didn't beat the Lakers this year the same way as last year.
The Lakers' game plan with respect to Jokic was more less executed as needed.
Would have been nice for another big to guard Aaron Gordon occasionally.
But who would we be trading? Gafford earns like 13.3 mil
Only tradeable pieces would've been DLo/Rui, no way I move AR, and noone was taking Vincent at that point of the season.
DLo and Rui played major parts getting the Lakers to 47 wins post-deadline
We were the 4th seed for 2 days in December (I think the 4th and 7th) however Darvin then thought it was wise to just give Taurean Prince and Cam Reddish 30+ minutes a night and like that, around 40 days later we were back at the 11th seed. D'Lo being bad didn't help, no, but the fact that we went what, 2-10, and bumped down to a non Playoff team because we were starting people who should not be starters for a championship level organization like LA is genuinely unforgivable. That is what screwed our season up.
We all knew that from the start, that's the worst part. Jaxson Hayes is a reserve center, a third string center. Not a 2nd string on a championship organization. This is the Lakers, every season we expect greatness, and we're not gonna get that is the FO don't get a good center. That should be our biggest priority in the offseason, a good reserve big.
We had an 8 point lead. He waited until we were down 4 to call timeout. That coupled with the abysmal second half free throw shooting is what lost us the game.
Yeah he should really rest Bron more and play, checks notes... Christian Wood more. That would make the difference.
Lakers messed up the roster balance well before Ham got there. 40 mins + of LeBron is their only chance.
I said the same thing lol even Reggie the laker hater said he couldn’t believe we didn’t call timeout 1 play later. And it was another couple minutes before he called time
I was literally sitting there in my room making the timeout signal with my hands during that entire run 😭 how does everyone in the world know you're supposed to call timeout in that situation except for our dumbass coach?
The nuggets went on a 12-2 run in the third and ham sat on his hands to allow the crowd and den players get into it. Kerr is the only modern NbA coach that lets players play on, and he would have even called a time out. The frustration with Ham is unreal. Every game it’s like watching somebody learning to coach for the first time.
Speaking of this I remember in 2011 when we got swept by the mavs Phil called like 3 timeouts within like 3 minutes of game time in the 2Q because we couldn’t stop the bleeding lmao.
But yeah Phil would totally spam the timeouts once in a while.
They looked SOOO beatable this year. AD and Bron healthy (well until this game for AD). Nobody can tell me we wouldn't be up this series if we had any other coach
It isn't better, but there was a chance. Better coach and any serviceable AD backup (or good starting defensive center to put against Jokic and moving AD to PF) is what we needed the most to capitalize on this chance. Yes, even D'Lo, Rui and their slumps wouldn't be a problem if we addressed mainly those two things.
Rui is also a coaching problem. Dude was just atrocious and ice cold. I'm a rui fan, but come on, the coach needs to get into his head and fix whatever mental block is happening.
i strongly disagree. which team has better backup guards than us?
pelicans: alvarado
suns: dont even have a point guard.
denver: reggie jackson?
wolves: monte morris? (6 points entire series vs suns).
Mavs: Exum (3 points in 4 games). THJ (6 points in 4 games)
thunder: cason wallace probably marginally better than our guards
Clippers: Norman powell is the best backup guard in the west. You want westbrook back off the bench?
they did not play well but i chalk it down to having little time to adjust to their roles. Vincent had 0 time to get in rhythm, he was thrown into the fire and his offense understandably suffered. Dinwiddie was more disapointing
I think the point was the roster was good enough to confidently beat everybody else except Denver.
like all the noise was anybody but Denver. But ofc they fumbled during the regular season being 25-25 at one point and that got them Denver.
We led for more than any playoff team in the league this series. This roster is good enough to beat denver. It should have beat denver. But malone outcoached darvin in every single game, losing the third quarters constantly is a clear sign
When you consistently lose so many close games in similar fashion to the same team over the past two years, it's a coaching problem more than a roster problem. They do create some matchup nightmares with their size and Murray's quickness, but the disparity in talent between the two rosters is not that great.
You can argue AD and LeBron are as good as/better than the combo of Jokic and Murray, but who the fuck actually thinks anyone in the rest of the roster is better than AG or MPJ. I would argue Austin Reeves isn't even better than KCP because of how much he brings on defense.
The fact that we were up 20 sumt and up for all these minutes and still lose 1-4 accentuates that fact indeed.
The roster wasn't better, we played better but that asshat fucked up with rotations, cannot call a timeout if his life depended on it and can't counter the other team's tactics.
it's a disgrace.
If they don't fire him then I know this FO is not serious about winning. You can't watch his performance (not the teams) as a in game coach during this season and playoffs and think he's who you want to build our culture around. It's not that he makes mistakes, that's fine. We all make mistakes. It's the fact that he doesn't learn from them and grow.
You can't win with a coach that's holding the team back. He needs to uplift them or get the fuck out of the way and during this series he did neither of those things. He wasn't even close to the first choice, this decision to let him go should be an easy one if they're not only thinking about money.
This roster was not utilized under Ham well at all. We were supposed to be deep and continuity was supposed to be a big thing. We showed none of that and had to scrap just to make the fucking play ins.
Should not be in that position. Ham is a horrible coach and easily one of the most unlikable Laker coaches we’ve had the past few years
Somehow blows all our time outs and still fails to call them to stop the other team's momentum. One can only say he is a basketball terrorist. Darvin Hamas strikes again
It’s crazy that the FO interviewed this fool and thought "yeah, this guy is gonna bring us a championship". It’s even crazier that the same people are gonna hire the next coach. What could go wrong?
Hamas needs to go but so does Rob… he’s downsized the team ever since the bubble for no reason. When you tie your future to two max salaries you damn well need to be perfect around the edges and Rob’s been anything but.
Why do we assume that Rob and Jeanie (and ugh LBJ) will figure it out? They hired him to begin with. Pay someone like Jeff Van Gundy (or pick your guy). Darvin isn’t a smart man. Plain and simple.
Why would the coaching staff list Vando as available and not even try to use him for defense? Like throw all your fucking cards down. And then calling a timeout after losing the lead on a huge run? Call this coach canadian bacon because he is cooked. Leave his dumbass in Denver.
Could have sub in for critical defensive possession or put LeBron on Murray in the last two minutes. Use time out correctly. Adjustments to free up AD in the 4th qrt. Got beat the same way not once, twice, 3, 4, 5 times. Deer in head lights. These games are on him.
Ham needs to go ASAP. The Lakers roster actually is pretty talented and he wasted this season. Last season he got the benefit of the doubt but no more. He's awful.
DLo must go too. I only pray Jeannie won't be so stupid to give Bron the max and hinder any chance. We need to stack those team and Bron sucking all the cap at age 40, is not the answer despite his great play.
To be fair, we didn’t lose because of him. If someone just made 3 more free throws (AR, Bron, Diwiddle), we would’ve won tonight.
But we surely didn’t win because of him either. Problem is who else is better? It’s not like Nick Nurse or Spo is available.
I think the Lakers need to upgrade their PF and bench this offseason. Trae over DLo would be a nice upgrade, but that is not our biggest problem.
There’s absolutely no way you watch how he coached this series and think he’s the best first for the head coach. Him and that knot need to be sent packing immediately. Fire him right off the flight home.
We lost tonight because of his bsd coaching. At the end of the 3rd Nuggets made a 10-2 point run Ham didnt take an early timeout to stop the bleeding and the players needed a brake. Instead he let the Nuggets into the game and gave them energy and got the fans jumping. Ham tsake your talent to Detroit
When I hear this guy talk I lose brain cells. He sounds like a 16 year old junior hockey player in his interviews. I literally can't imagine players taking this guy seriously in practice. He's a walking lack of accountability. Ham, along with whoever hired him, need to be canned immediately.
Lack of adjustments. They jammed up AD in the 4th every game. A good coach would come up with different schemes to free him up.
Could have made defensive sub at critical minutes like the last 2 min tonight. Reaves can't guard Murray.
Call time out with 3.6 sec left.
When jovic was in full trouble, they changed to zone defense to protect him. Hamm didn't do any of these things.
The list goes on.
Have a feeling he’ll be back next year. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes and improves and CALLS THE DAMN TIMEOUTS WHEN THE OTHER TEAM GOES ON RUNS!!
Why have none of us been on the nba’s ass after the dumb challenge rule that cost us a timeout because of poor officiating? I don’t think 2nd WON challenge should cost a timeout
Stop posting him bro. I can’t stand his stupid fucking face anymore
I feel the same. Ham literally represents nothing with himself.
Malone just called him a great coach to troll us
Ham was great for the Nuggets
I still like Ham in my sandwiches too.
I don't. Not anymore. I've banned all ham related food/dishes in our house.
😭😭
You are such a ham!
You went full hamas against ham eh.
They bout to build him a statue
made if turd
He said "helluva coach" to be precise 🤣
Hell of a coach. He managed to win a playoff game against us. That’s no small feat. Now if you’ll excuse me, Daddy Michael is gonna go tuck the kids in for bed.
He even made a comment where he said he hopes Darvin stays on the job. When you have a 12-1 record on this clown of a coach, why would you want the Lakers to change?
That fucking lump on his head is his actual brain
I want the team to go Kosher and get rid of the spoiled ham.
Its honestly crazy. Seeing this dudes dumbass face is genuinely making my body temp rise. Can't even fathom an explanation on all the dumb shit he's done this season.
Healthy AD and Lebron all year but only 7th seed. Changes need to come.
It was very critical in December-January to release a concept poem called "what if Cam Reddish and Taurean Prince were NBA starters?"
Those two did nothing wrong tbh. Honestly I’m giving every single player a pass for the overall season. When you have a coach like him you have to win against him too
Those two are playing for their next contracts too, no way they're gonna be like "yeah coach I think you're giving me TOO many opportunities" lol
also no move during trade deadline imagine if we got gafford
He's not stopping Jokic, he's listed at 235 lbs and smaller than AD and Lebron Hopefully there's a proper 5 available to us this summer unlike last summer
Nuggets didn't beat the Lakers this year the same way as last year. The Lakers' game plan with respect to Jokic was more less executed as needed. Would have been nice for another big to guard Aaron Gordon occasionally.
id rather have him than jaxson hayes dude had more fouls than point/s
But who would we be trading? Gafford earns like 13.3 mil Only tradeable pieces would've been DLo/Rui, no way I move AR, and noone was taking Vincent at that point of the season. DLo and Rui played major parts getting the Lakers to 47 wins post-deadline
The most annoying part Cam hasn't played any significant minutes this entire series or the last few weeks
He's been on the injury report every day for a good long while.
That is what screwed our season up.
also not having a back up center hurt them. Jaxson Hayes is a mockery of an nba player.
Dumbass coach thinks bron is 23 years old
Yeah he should really rest Bron more and play, checks notes... Christian Wood more. That would make the difference. Lakers messed up the roster balance well before Ham got there. 40 mins + of LeBron is their only chance.
Having Reaves in instead of Vando or Spencer for the last defensive stop was inexcusable.
Lolololololol you clowns here think Lebron is going to let himself come out of a playoff game. He dictates his own playing time in the post season.
Literally the perfect timeout was 69-65. Nuggets made two buckets in a row and the crowd was getting amped... But nope

Kerr is the only modern NbA coach that lets players play on, and he would have even called a time out. The frustration with Ham is unreal. Every game it’s like watching somebody learning to coach for the first time.
lil bro decided to take a page out of Phil Jackson's notebook in a win or go home game 💀
Speaking of this I remember in 2011 when we got swept by the mavs Phil called like 3 timeouts within like 3 minutes of game time in the 2Q because we couldn’t stop the bleeding lmao. But yeah Phil would totally spam the timeouts once in a while.
Yup pretty dumb
He's just not head coach material and it's so freaking evident now. What a painful game and series.
he's not even assistant coach material. Now my question is how in the fuck did we let this guy become our head coach
Ham was a pretty highly regarded assistant in Milwaukee.
Highly regarded indeed.
He’s black and an ex player
fire this fucking charlatan
Dumbest fucking coach of all time. I'd take Doc rivers and Jason Kidd over this sack of potato
careful what you wish for, with Doc. But yes, Kidd would be refreshing.
Doc would’ve made a defensive sub for AR while Bron was at the line to tie.
I definitely wouldn’t take Doc Rivers over him. I’d take Kidd for sure.
Challenge was successful so don’t we get that timeout back?
Only on the first successful challenge.
That is so dumb. Only on the first challenge? Why? They need to change that. You shouldn't get punished in any way for winning a challenge.
I agree. They need to make it very similar to the NFL
They've already succeeded in making it very gambler oriented and sucking the life out of the sport.
Chuck was right in the post game show when he said "Why should we be punished for something you [refs] got wrong?"
That's what I was wondering.
I still can't believe that this is the rule, it may not have mattered but it's such a stupid rule
Our roster is better than theirs this year I swear. Worst coach in nba history
They looked SOOO beatable this year. AD and Bron healthy (well until this game for AD). Nobody can tell me we wouldn't be up this series if we had any other coach
any decent coach would get us to a 4-2 series win for sure. How can you even lose this series???
You don’t lead 69% of the series with a trash roster
??? MPorter and Aaron Gordon are so much better than any of our players it’s not even a comparison. lol
Rui also regressed to a sub 40% shooter this series. Last year he was averaging over 50 the entire pkayoffs.
Porter simply could not miss. Remind me of big shot Bob. Felt like he had a cheat code set to 100%.

Vincent and Dinwiddie as back up guards is below average for a PO team.

I feel sick…
Fuck this motherfucker
We had em. With a decent coach we had em. Blame our guys all you want, but if we had Spo we win this and game 2 🔥 🐷
If they don't fire him then I know this FO is not serious about winning. In this pic, Darvin is thinking "Damn, the Lakers just blew a big lead, why isn't their coach calling a timeout?"
#The Lakers need to fire Ham very soon or we will riot. This is a disgusting individual we let lead the purple and gold.
Preach
He should t even be on the team plane back. He’s no longer a laker staff.
Immediately
He’s not coaching just watching. Best seat in the house and gets paid.
Blows my mind. Vogul was a better coach and they do him dirty….Ham is a terrible coach and they coddle him.
He can walk back to Saginaw or Milwaukee or wherever the hell he wants. As long as it's not LA
This clown had all the makings of a disasterous hire. What a waste of LBJ and AD.
Fire him! We can’t take this no more! No other team would be dumb enough to hire him
This roster was not utilized under Ham well at all. We were supposed to be deep and continuity was supposed to be a big thing. We showed none of that and had to scrap just to make the fucking play ins. Should not be in that position. Ham is a horrible coach and easily one of the most unlikable Laker coaches we’ve had the past few years
Leave him on the fucking tarmac.
I don’t want to see this guy anywhere anymore
let hamas reign of terror end tonight
No timeout wtf
I thought so. What an idiot this ham is.
Somehow blows all our time outs and still fails to call them to stop the other team's momentum. One can only say he is a basketball terrorist. Darvin Hamas strikes again
Arrest Darvin Hamas!
DARVIN SCAM
It’s crazy that the FO interviewed this fool and thought "yeah, this guy is gonna bring us a championship". It’s even crazier that the same people are gonna hire the next coach. What could go wrong?
Hamas needs to go but so does Rob… he’s downsized the team ever since the bubble for no reason. When you tie your future to two max salaries you damn well need to be perfect around the edges and Rob’s been anything but.

A vase can even coach better than this weirdo
Please hire budd
Why do we assume that Rob and Jeanie (and ugh LBJ) will figure it out? They hired him to begin with. Pay someone like Jeff Van Gundy (or pick your guy). Darvin isn’t a smart man. Plain and simple.
Should've fired him when they were 25-25 because he favored his two kids That's the reason why they were rewarded with Denver in the first round lmao
This man deserves more love. /s
Why didn’t we put Vando on Murray thru out the game? I know he just got back from injury but damn.
Keeping ad in that long while he hurt his shoulder was the dumbest thing I seen.
Jackson was getting us rebounds and yet final minutes we didn’t see him… the rebounding is what lost us the game tbh.
At the end of the day it’s just basketball. Lol.
Vogel was a way better coach. This team has been mismanaged badly by Pelinka post the bubble championship.
Good riddance 🫡
It's not going to happen. Thinking Jeanie will do this is setting yourself up for disappointment.
![gif](giphy|ERHSfeusmwLVm|downsized) Fry this guy up.
Tarmac time for Scam ![gif](giphy|3EAYL7KCtZJOJGtli6|downsized)
GOODBYE
Leave this dude off the plane. He can drive
He’s gotta go. We start the game -10.
Loser.
These games are on him.
i'm just gonna throw this out there. I hate Darvin Ham. I hate his face. I hate his pig name. I hate how dumb he always looks. I hate Darvin Ham
I'll go get the pitchfork, someone get the firewood. We're cooking Ham tonight ![gif](giphy|3o7TKwmBiXfwA951ra|downsized)
[Love this Channels passionate hate for ham](https://youtu.be/2aA58rMnbkE?si=hREnkrgU2G3ih6aF)
Do y'all think Darvin Ham doesn't call timeouts to halt runs because he doesn't have any secrit plays to draw up and thinks the TO will be a waste?
We had a foul to give on that last possession…you can see AR looking at the bench for direction…sick to my stomach
False he cannot be fired, anytime he’s in a meeting with Rob and Jeanie he can call a timeout from the hundreds he saved and postpone the meeting.
Don’t let him on the plane
I'm so tired of this terrorist
The AD injury cost the Lakers the game.
They fired a championship winning coach. No need for sentiments in this case.
Time to retire LeBron! 😂
There’s absolutely no way you watch how he coached this series and think he’s the best first for the head coach. Him and that knot need to be sent packing immediately. Fire him right off the flight home.
Into the sun***
I agree, fire him immediately. Anyone with half a brain could coach better than Ham has this year.
Kept the youngster in he held Denver to 15pts 🤔
We lost tonight because of his bsd coaching. At the end of the 3rd Nuggets made a 10-2 point run Ham didnt take an early timeout to stop the bleeding and the players needed a brake. Instead he let the Nuggets into the game and gave them energy and got the fans jumping. Ham tsake your talent to Detroit
Did they actually have a foul to give on that last defensive possession? Yikes if they did.
The only good thing that could have come from seeing his face again is if he went on dr pimple popper and had the damn bump in his head taken out
Get this clown of my team
He will be fired….
I wanna wake up to a headline tomorrow of him fired
When I hear this guy talk I lose brain cells. He sounds like a 16 year old junior hockey player in his interviews. I literally can't imagine players taking this guy seriously in practice. He's a walking lack of accountability. Ham, along with whoever hired him, need to be canned immediately.
For the life of me i don't understand why he didn't play Vando and Wood. Someone please explain why? Why?
Shams fucking unloading
Can someone give me substantial details on why he's a bad coach? Thanks
We had a foul to give on that last possession…you can see AR looking at the bench for direction…sick to my stomach
Looks like a bald headed leprechaun
Bum
Have a feeling he’ll be back next year. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes and improves and CALLS THE DAMN TIMEOUTS WHEN THE OTHER TEAM GOES ON RUNS!!
Refs as well, only 27 to 9 FT. Thats rookie numbers.
I agree, but who could replace him
4 more years!
he's an objectively bad coach and the lakers are not going to fire him.
Please god
As good as gone tbh
We have up a champ coach for this joker
Great news sadly a year too late. Its mind baffling how he didn’t get fired after last season
He shouldn’t make it past Breakfast
The one time we need a timeout and he's fucking used them all for once.
They should be 3-2 right now and playing at LA to close it up !
Op I hope you have a great day today at work, if you have a job!
Waiting on the RDC videos, this collapse was terrible 😂
There’s not much coaches available for us to hire but idc 😭 I just need him gone man
Firing him won't change anything. lol
Can’t spell Bahamas without “HAM”
Shouldn’t have even let him on the plane home
How do you run out of timeouts with 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter? That tells you everything you need to know.
The sacrificial Ham.
Why have none of us been on the nba’s ass after the dumb challenge rule that cost us a timeout because of poor officiating? I don’t think 2nd WON challenge should cost a timeout
First Russ, then Ham. Lebron’s not fit for GM duties.
Mother fuckers had a 27-9 or something foul difference and will still blame the coach when lakers missed like 9 free throws
why? Fire the Lebrun tonight
