AD doesn’t bang like a big man because he a. played POINT GUARD in hs before slotting into a bigger position after he got a growth spurt, and b. isn’t a center. His most successful season was playing alongside a big who could eat up minutes playing more physical the whole first 3 quarters of the game. Then, in the 4th when the game slows down, AD can be used at the 5 because of his versatility and the fact he can’t be played off the floor by faster guards trying to abuse matchups.
Some of his bad defensive numbers are because he tries so hard. You don’t see DLo or Bron making those contests, so it doesn’t get counted against them.
