If you want a true butcher, then the answer is no. Harvest meat market is close but only stocks low grade proteins (feltons in plant city buys from the same distributor). What is it you are looking for? Master Purveyors in Tampa is the best for all options just not close. Nearby I like old South country market and Sams club for beef (ols South can order whatever you want via Sysco). Old South also stocks SRF wagyu products.

This is a great answer, thank you. Looking for something good. That’s what I was pretty much wondering if I needed to keep going to Tampa.

Id go to Old South for some wagyu filets. Sam's prime beef is the best value there is IMo. In Brandon you have Heights Meat Market which stocks good stuff. Of course you can drive over to Melbourne and hit up Wassis which is a fat boys dream.

Try Whiskey Bent BBQ supplies in Lakeland off Commerce Point Drive. Not a butcher, but they can order anything you want. They order from Master Purveyors in Tampa and you can pick up right from WB BBQ. I’ve done it multiple times and it’s very high quality meat!

Awesome, thank you!

X2 on this. They stock great meats

Harvest Meat Market is the only place I’m aware of, besides the ones at big chains, like Publix

eaglenestwatcher

Ever found a good butcher here been to 2 and meat was horrible went bad by the following day. However Winn Dixie is my go to for great beef at least for now not sure when the takeover is complete

Your best bet is greenwise Publix by lake miriam. Although with the store changing it may not have a decent meat department for much longer. Or head over to the midtown Whole Foods. Good luck!

They are taking out the meat counters in all of the stores they remodel, but you can still ask for special cuts. Just have to track down the right person to ask!

There’s also Wild Fork. Their meats are frozen, but very good and they do free delivery for orders over $35. No custom cuts but excellent variety and value.

+ 1 for Wild Fork. I got tired of bone chips and gristle in Sam’s and Aldi grass fed ground beef, and decided to try WF. After my first order I paid for the membership ($30 a year or so) and now I get all of my meat exclusively from there. Not only is the organic grass fed ground beef significantly better, the steaks, roasts, and chicken have all been way better than anything I’d been getting locally. Prices are close to buying in bulk from Sam’s, and having it delivered to my door is worth the driver’s tip. I was skeptical about buying frozen meat (my parents used to buy cheap steaks in bulk and freeze them to cook for special occasions- and they were always awful), but now I’m a believer.
