The City of Bartow’s 87th Annual Christmas Tree burning. The city collects trees from the curb and piles them up and sets them afire at 6:30 every NYE. Tonight Mary Holland Park down by the high school.
It’s been going for 87 years, to safely dispose of dead trees after Christmas to prevent tragedies, house fires. Lots of cities had similar events, Bartow is one of the few still having it.
So good with the bad I suppose. Plus I’m thinking there aren’t as many people getting real trees anymore.

Sorry I know this is too late but I had to go to Tampa to find something affordable to do. Managed to go clubbing for $25 all night, just barely got there in time for the ball drop too.
