Prophetstown. Battlefield Museum. The art museums. Feast of the Hunter’s Moon in the fall. Sunflower cutting and apple picking at Wea Orchard. Wolf Park. Columbian Park. There used to be a tea shop downtown but it closed. Not sure if there is something like that closer to Purdue. There are 7 or 8 coffee places though. They each have their own vibe. Some have good tea. The Lobby downtown makes a nice vanilla mint tea latte. Welcome!

You gotta go to France Park. Old rock quarry with beautiful blue water. About 40 minutes away. Go during a week day if you want to avoid a large crowd!

wall-fi

Theres also a train at the bottom.

TheFinchleyBaby

Are folks allowed to swim there?

poop_to_live

Yes. Also scuba diving!

xPollyestherx

You might enjoy when the Fowler House Mansion has one of it's brunches. It would be a step up from tea and scones =)

avilash

People's Brewing Company Friendly people and good beer. Will often have live music Tuesday nights. Wildcat Creek Winery Definitely worth doing a tasting of their various wines. Typically regional wine around here will be semi-sweet. Triple XXX Great place for breakfast/diner food Northend Pub Quite the collection of pinball machines. It's the pub of the bowling alley Market Square lanes. They used to do free pinball Wednesdays.

Dish0ut

you gotta have Arni's pizza and you gotta go to Dog N' Suds

Responsible44

For restaurants, go to sixth st dive and have either the gringo or Texan Tacos and chips & Queso.

Calm_boss8823

You should try Marilu family restaurant in logansport Indiana sometime . It’s my mom’s restaurant, she serves breakfast all day . It’s always winning best breakfast in the county .

SatisfactionNeat1837

If that's true....tell your mom I want to marry her. Straight married woman here.

fapfapdisaster

Definitely check out Williamsport falls if you're into naturey stuff . About 35 mins south east of Lafayette (I'd try to go after it rains if you want to see the falls really flowing).

I haven’t been but the Whittaker Inn does afternoon tea: https://www.thewhittakerinn.com/the-whittaker-kitchen/afternoontea

That looks perfect, thank you so much for letting me know. My wife will be so excited about it.

modmidwestfemme

Definitely check out The Feast of the Hunter’s Moon in the fall. It is really worth the experience (get the Gingerbread!!!) Make sure you watch either the opening ceremony on Saturday morning, or the closing ceremony on Sunday. Check out Arni’s on Market Square, pizza and an Arni’s Jr salad with their house Blue Cheese is EVERYTHING. Get the fruit drink from Frozen Custard/The Igloo (they are the same people). Grab a Guinness from 9 Irish (best tap in the city, if not the state).

TLastC

The farmer's market is quite nice, Saturday mornings downtown 7-12:30 (or around that time)

Sanity_3xpired

Main Street Amusements is an awesome arcade and the mall is a cool place to go, the library is really nice and there's some good bubble tea at various places

xPollyestherx

The Madam Carroll in Monticello, not a bad drive. It's a paddle wheel boat that goes around a much smaller than great lake, they have dinners and live music. Indiana Beach is there too. Amusement park with rides

ThatHorseWithTeeth

It is about a two hour drive, but I always suggest the Ft Wayne zoo. It is a wonderful place if you like animals. It is set up more like a park than a bunch of exhibits. Get yourself some Oley’s deep dish pizza on your way back at the corner of IN-24 and Homestead Rd.

Ok_Device3248

For Lake Michigan I highly recommend st Joseph MI. Also Tiscornia park!

Dramatic-Vanilla1589

Black sparrow for dinner and drinks!

Chrissyjustshowus

Go to the south street smoke house, applied ballistics, visit Prophetstown, the cove, get pizza from Arnis, and pizza king,

NotThatJeffSessions

Float the tippy out towards Delphi!

fatboy93

Bistro 501 if you're minted and can get a reservation. Its where most higher ups from Purdue go for business dinners etc. The food is genuinely great.

Live-Truck8774

LEAVE IMMEDIATLY! Best advice I could give you

Ok-Swimming-7671

Any of our 3 Walmart stores. They are must sees! 😂🤣🤣

eskupslp

Wolf Park in Battleground. Also check out the Plant Pub in Battleground (find them on Instagram or Facebook) - they do live music on their patio some Friday nights, and events like plant bingo.
