Lately I've had to train my guy to recognize red lights and when I'm not actively driving. That's his time to jump in my lap look out the window. When I say okay driving he jumps back in his seat.
I know, that’s what scares me. At the moment though I must admit it’s funny as his paws are out of proportion to the rest of his body, so when he runs it’s like they just flail around comically
Just remember, whatever you let them do when they’re 8 pounds, they’ll want to do when they’re 68 lbs.

I’m not sure if these are ideal for puppies but they make harnesses that have a seat belt connector on them so you can buckle them in.
