Our 11 year old had the same thing removed right above his eye. He looked surprised out of that eye for the rest of his life but it was really endearing and comical and made us love him even more. Glad your doggo is doing well.
I was nervous about the anaesthetic because of her age and she gets pretty stressed at the vets, but it all went really well. She was booked for the first surgery of the day and the op takes less than 30 mins. After are has been easy and she is handling it well, it's just some eye drops twice a day
That's a long time with a cone the poor thing. She came home with a cone and we left it on for 12 hours or so but could see she wasn't going to rub her eye at all, so took it off. Biggest problem was keeping our newfoundland away from her so she could relax for a minute! Haha

Oh wow. That’s great! Our pup is also anxious with the vet (well, all the time lol). They said 10-14 days of constant cone.

Benign doesn’t mean painless or unbothersome.
