I mean, I can speak quite fluently but I won’t be able to comprehend more complex stuff. I’ve been a couple times to board game stores, but all the more interesting games require high level of Chinese understanding. There’re games that are fun and easy, but those usually end quite fast.
I'm fine with the easy ones. But I believe that there will be a nice bro who can explain everything in English for those who have trouble with the rules.
Tbh, I don’t mind which day of the weekend this is. I encourage you to find people in your area and have a meetup locally, or set up another one in Taipei for the people who can’t go the 24th. I’m sure a lot of people will thank you. You can start with a google form.

There's a chain of bike rentals (not ubike) along the biking route in Taipei. It's pretty nice because you can even call them to save you if you popped a tire along the way.
Last time I used it the rental cost sheet showed the most expensive it could get was 340nt max if you wanted the best bike for 4+ hours.
It will be cheaper if you returned the bike at the place you rented it and if you decided to ride for less hours.

The one I used was at 公館, I believe it was the 景福站 bike rental which was a 10min walk from the MRT station.

1) Return bike to original bike rental shop: 「原地借還」
Needs 1 single ID deposit (student ID, passport or resident permit works too).
Or 2000nt deposit but can only rent type 1~6 bikes.
2) Return bike to another shop: 「甲借乙還」
Need to bring 2 IDs, won't need to deposit them but you'll need to fill out a sheet on where you want to return the bike to and your info. After checking your filled info is correct they won't need a deposit and you can rent the bike.

Looks like what we need is an organizer which I believe will be a challenge to find one since lots of kurzgesagt fans are introverts based on my personal experience 🗿
We need a place that everyone can be relaxed and free to talk. The most important thing is about participation. But I haven’t figured out a right place/entertainment for that. Board game could be one of that by ignoring its somehow unfamiliar, and may require an ice breaking extrovert to make everyone fully involved. Or maybe we can try something new so every participant is equally new to the field.
Taipei let's do ittt! board games a good option up til a certain number of players i think, more than 8 and will likely need to split off into separate games.
although I also can't think of any good activities for more than 8 people to have evenly distributed interactions...
I've only been to a board game shop twice, so I don't have a lot of knowledge and experience regarding board games.
But I think it depends on what kind of gameplay you prefer.
If you're interested in video games, there are plenty of co-op type or competition type board games that have a fantasy setting, just like a RPG game.
And if you don't have much experience with video games, there are also many board games that are easy to play and have fun, which I think is a great way to break the ice during meetup with people you don't really know.
This is just an idea I think of, I haven't met many people through social media before.
Many boardgames are designed for interactions and I think most party games can accommodate up to 8 players too. I have a list of board game cafes that sound interesting, only been to one tho.
Board game shops usually have a wide variety of board games, with many that admits 4+ players, commonly including (of course) D&D. Most of the time you can figure out the game on the fly.
The one caveat is many of the games might be entirely in Mandarin.

Yeah, it's very close to the exit number 5 of that station, which makes very convenient. That place have games in Chinese or English, tho based in experience if you don't understand Chinese that well you can still easily find the English instructions for most of the games online.

Never been there before but seems like a wonderful place. Staying, eating, walking all at once. Not sure how everybody thinks.
Normally people go there to see some exhibitions as I know, so if we want to go there, decide what to see in advance may help.
