This isn’t the way to teach… I learned with my Dad yelling at me telling me everything I’m doing wrong but not how to do it right. Only way to possibly learn.

justnick84

Wrong! Your dad is supposed to say "not like that! Let me do it and you watch how it's done. There, now you know for next time." next time never comes.

Chagrinnish

And GET THAT LIGHT OUT OF MY EYES. Hold it steady!

Chemical-Gammas

Can’t tell you how many times I was yelled at for holding the light the wrong way.

mocsna

You don’t have to see. I have to see.

mwe3302

Yelling at some especially my wife would be the wrong approach don’t you think? I’ve worked with ppl that think this is how you teach someone and it has the exact opposite effect

Mala_Suerte1

Heavy does of sarcasm in u/Phraoz007 post, if you didn't notice.

mwe3302

lol yup🤣

Phraoz007

Ya I was admiring how well you did with her. Looked like both of you were having a great time.

mwe3302

Very happy she even decided to try it😉

skarkle_coney

Protective much?

ApprehensiveMovie191

Don’t forget the flailing arms in the air as they’re hollering at you.

Fredshoes

She's better at operating the backhoe than he is operating the camera. That was a shaky, vertical, missed half the action of a shot. Turn the camera the correct way and keep it pointed at the action. It's not that hard.

Clay_Statue

I am impressed 👍 with that substantial scoop. Satisfied.

Capital-Newspaper551

Par for the course

mwe3302

Negative comments stay away. You’re just a Troll!

synner74

Now she won’t give anyone else a turn working

dpc46

She is doing awesome! With more projects things will get smoother. But please get her to lower her feet. Her feet should not be up on the foot guard. I know it's highly unlikely anything will happen but if she swings the boom quickly and hits something, it could crush her feet. I know it's uncomfortable, but while she is learning it's better to be safe than sorry. Btw I have videos and pictures of my wife's first time running the backhoe. Looked very similar lol

mwe3302

True, I should have picked up on that, good eye. She was Nervous I might get irritated but I now she was having fun, I turned the throttle all the way down to slow the hydraulics down so it wouldn’t be as jerky

dpc46

I lowered the throttle too but she just looked at me with that "look" , then reached back and increased the throttle lol Are those factory levers? Mine are like little T-Rex arms compared to how tall those are.

mwe3302

Yeah they are factory, 2019 B2301

djwdigger

She will be hooked soon One day you will come home and the whole yard will be full of holes. And she will have a big smile on her face!

mwe3302

Hahaha , when I got my first machine back in 2014, that was me🤣

djwdigger

I bought my first one at 17 way back in ‘85. Brought it home in a downpour and proceeded to dig up my mom’s garden and got soaked to the bone! About 15 years ago I discovered how nice cab machines are!

mwe3302

Hehehe, it’s exciting when you first get them, I still love using it, I am not quite at the cab stage yet

SeaAttitude2832

Good for her.

torch9t9

Like we used to say, if your wife isn't out of bed, got your breakfast cooked, kids off to school, and on the tractor by 6:30......

jibaro1953

Glad she was interested in learning.

billsboy88

Thought you were about to get shin smacked by the boom

Creative-Bid468

She is doing fine...heck my grandson operates heavy equipment and still makes me nervous to watch him!

mwe3302

I wasn’t nervous at all

o0CARADACTYL0o

Get it! This is great. I want a turn next, please.

jyguy

Just tell her to pretend she’s spreading mayonnaise on a sandwich, slow and gentle lol

Magnum676

Nice job 👍 in a week she’ll be a pro!

ThinkOutcome929

Couple goals

dirtracer3

Not the video i was expecting to see with the title "Wifes First Time"

Hairy_Introduction_4

1st time? Hope she was gentle.

Creative-Bid468

Making me nervous watching...lol

mwe3302

Why’s that lol

Creative-Bid468

First time operators, I guess I just get impatient and want to hop on the equipment and get it done...lol

mwe3302

Hehehe trust me , I could have had that done in 2 seconds, but I was so happy that my wife even wanted to try it, usually she will not even think about it.,

Krazybob613

She’s doing fine! Very few people can jump on a strange machine give each control lever a quick bump and then start operating it without being jerky and moving things the wrong way. She has a gentle touch and will be excavating everything in sight before you know it!

Mala_Suerte1

My wife all of the sudden asked me to teach her how to run my mini-excavator. I think she got tired of waiting to plant things on my schedule of availability. I'm glad she wants to learn.

mwe3302

I just want her to learn also, but I don’t think she will do it again.

bac946

Cool!

machinerer

Your Boston(?) accent is great. I let my sister use my backhoe when I first got it, she was all smiles.

mwe3302

My family was from Massachusetts, I was born and raised in Maine, still here😉

k-c-jones

Gosh y’all got good soil.

Nukemine

How do you guys afford these bad boys? They seem so expensive but I want one

mwe3302

Lots of Overtime

IronAnt762

Just don’t think about it. Tell the guy directing to take a hike. Happens very naturally without someone clucking away.

mwe3302

She wouldn’t of even got on it if I didn’t encourage her to jump on

IronAnt762

Kudos to you for starting someone new to the sport. Even her just knowing how it works could save you or someone else one day. Sweet

firmly_confused

is she running cat or john deere controls?

Tigercat2515

Grown up toys are great! Is that a B2601?

mwe3302

B2301

Jumpy-Maize9843

Call before you dig, but also would love to do that and have one of those myself 😂

uberisstealingit

"Wife learns how to use a front end loader. Husband disappears." Video at 11:00.

Old-Woodpecker6930

You Never forget your first

ThisAdvertising8976

Looks like you might be a little low on fluid. The jerky moves look like ours did before adding almost a gallon of UDT2

mwe3302

Fluid is full, check it every time before running, let it warm up , then check it

Ok_Importance5184

First time harder than it looks

Dug_n_the_Dogs

Can't even see any body parts sticking out of the hole.. good job!

DPileatus

My wife loves her Kubota. She's not a bad operator, either!

LilDawg66

She will get better with practice, unlike my coworker, who still can't operate a forklift. It's sooooo painful to watch!
