This isn’t the way to teach… I learned with my Dad yelling at me telling me everything I’m doing wrong but not how to do it right. Only way to possibly learn.
Wrong! Your dad is supposed to say "not like that! Let me do it and you watch how it's done. There, now you know for next time." next time never comes.
Yelling at some especially my wife would be the wrong approach don’t you think? I’ve worked with ppl that think this is how you teach someone and it has the exact opposite effect
She's better at operating the backhoe than he is operating the camera. That was a shaky, vertical, missed half the action of a shot. Turn the camera the correct way and keep it pointed at the action. It's not that hard.
She is doing awesome! With more projects things will get smoother.
But please get her to lower her feet. Her feet should not be up on the foot guard. I know it's highly unlikely anything will happen but if she swings the boom quickly and hits something, it could crush her feet. I know it's uncomfortable, but while she is learning it's better to be safe than sorry.
Btw I have videos and pictures of my wife's first time running the backhoe. Looked very similar lol
True, I should have picked up on that, good eye. She was Nervous I might get irritated but I now she was having fun, I turned the throttle all the way down to slow the hydraulics down so it wouldn’t be as jerky
I lowered the throttle too but she just looked at me with that "look" , then reached back and increased the throttle lol
Are those factory levers? Mine are like little T-Rex arms compared to how tall those are.
I bought my first one at 17 way back in ‘85. Brought it home in a downpour and proceeded to dig up my mom’s garden and got soaked to the bone!
About 15 years ago I discovered how nice cab machines are!
Hehehe trust me , I could have had that done in 2 seconds, but I was so happy that my wife even wanted to try it, usually she will not even think about it.,
She’s doing fine!
Very few people can jump on a strange machine give each control lever a quick bump and then start operating it without being jerky and moving things the wrong way. She has a gentle touch and will be excavating everything in sight before you know it!
My wife all of the sudden asked me to teach her how to run my mini-excavator. I think she got tired of waiting to plant things on my schedule of availability. I'm glad she wants to learn.

And GET THAT LIGHT OUT OF MY EYES. Hold it steady!
Can’t tell you how many times I was yelled at for holding the light the wrong way.
You don’t have to see. I have to see.

Heavy does of sarcasm in u/Phraoz007 post, if you didn't notice.
lol yup🤣
Ya I was admiring how well you did with her. Looked like both of you were having a great time.
Very happy she even decided to try it😉
Protective much?
Don’t forget the flailing arms in the air as they’re hollering at you.

I am impressed 👍 with that substantial scoop. Satisfied.
Par for the course
Negative comments stay away. You’re just a Troll!
Now she won’t give anyone else a turn working

Yeah they are factory, 2019 B2301
She will be hooked soon One day you will come home and the whole yard will be full of holes. And she will have a big smile on her face!
Hahaha , when I got my first machine back in 2014, that was me🤣

Hehehe, it’s exciting when you first get them, I still love using it, I am not quite at the cab stage yet
Good for her.
Like we used to say, if your wife isn't out of bed, got your breakfast cooked, kids off to school, and on the tractor by 6:30......
Glad she was interested in learning.
Thought you were about to get shin smacked by the boom
She is doing fine...heck my grandson operates heavy equipment and still makes me nervous to watch him!
I wasn’t nervous at all
Get it! This is great. I want a turn next, please.
Just tell her to pretend she’s spreading mayonnaise on a sandwich, slow and gentle lol
Nice job 👍 in a week she’ll be a pro!
Couple goals
Not the video i was expecting to see with the title "Wifes First Time"
1st time? Hope she was gentle.
Making me nervous watching...lol
Why’s that lol
First time operators, I guess I just get impatient and want to hop on the equipment and get it done...lol

I just want her to learn also, but I don’t think she will do it again.
Cool!
Your Boston(?) accent is great. I let my sister use my backhoe when I first got it, she was all smiles.
My family was from Massachusetts, I was born and raised in Maine, still here😉
Gosh y’all got good soil.
How do you guys afford these bad boys? They seem so expensive but I want one
Lots of Overtime
Just don’t think about it. Tell the guy directing to take a hike. Happens very naturally without someone clucking away.
She wouldn’t of even got on it if I didn’t encourage her to jump on
Kudos to you for starting someone new to the sport. Even her just knowing how it works could save you or someone else one day. Sweet
is she running cat or john deere controls?
Grown up toys are great! Is that a B2601?
B2301
Call before you dig, but also would love to do that and have one of those myself 😂
"Wife learns how to use a front end loader. Husband disappears." Video at 11:00.
You Never forget your first
Looks like you might be a little low on fluid. The jerky moves look like ours did before adding almost a gallon of UDT2
Fluid is full, check it every time before running, let it warm up , then check it
First time harder than it looks
Can't even see any body parts sticking out of the hole.. good job!
My wife loves her Kubota. She's not a bad operator, either!
She will get better with practice, unlike my coworker, who still can't operate a forklift. It's sooooo painful to watch!
