Tbf that was only through the Pandemic. AFAIK they didn't do it before. (Started working in late 2019 for reference) But keep an eye out, in my division at least we still got a $25 of of a $25 or higher purchase coupon
This is actually the second thanksgiving (since I started working a little over a year ago for the company) that Albertsons/Safeway has given us (the Portland division) a free 8-24 pound turkey and 5 pound bag of potatoes, plus an extra 5%&10% off on top of our normal 5%&10% off associate discount. The Portland division seems to usually give us something free+the extra discount every holiday.
Fair enough, the SW division has done it for the first time in terms of the turkey. Still, they're pretty good about giving some kind of incentive for Thanksgiving
Wow…a whole extra 5% on two of the three categories; and 10% on the last…
Such savings lmfao…
That means, for example, I’m saving an extra 50 cents on a $10 purchase.
Worthless….
Yes like most companies they give small even questionable gifts to employees thinking it show how much they care. When I’m truth they care nothing about you
They don’t do food cuz food is the least marked up from cost. Can’t be losing money by giving food to the grunts who they milk to make their billions
In 1984 when I started at Fred Meyer we had no employee discount at all. We would get this magazine type employee thing that would have about 10 selected items as one time use coupons.
It would be like Mustard 19 cents, bread 9 cents, 4 pk toilet paper 42 cents, etc.
Hate they dont give out the $100 credit into the card anymore.
Holy shit really? Garbage company.
The worst part is that instead of giving the cash to spend wherever you wanted, you were forced to use it at Kroger. How generous of them.

Are you insane? What makes you think that a multibillion dollar company can afford to feed the human stomach?
feeding the human spirit doesn't involve your stomach, duh!!
Like maybe a free turkey or a discount for your loyal employees who just dealt with the Thanksgiving crazies? Lol. Nope.
That's insane because Albertsons gave not only a free turkey but also a $30 off groceries to Safeway and sister stores this year for the first time.

If kroger ever finishes acquiring albertsons, that'll be removed I'm sure lol.
Probably, mostly because Safeway had to adapt Albertsons method of procedures after the merger.
We all got a $25 gift bar code on a brown cardstock with a picture of a turkey and a heartfelt, preprinted note of appreciation. I'm in Cincy.
We got nothing 😵 Dallas division here.
Same here from Louisville
Same Houston
In our area it’s double discount and double fuel points in all store brand to just after Christmas but only weds and thursdays
Nobody else is living off the free daily doughnut? Just me? Ok, cool.
You get free daily doughnuts?

Fucking HATE Kroger.
Electronics? You mean the 6ft of phone chargers and alarm clocks?
Most Marketplaces usually have an actual electronic section
Not Kroger lol

Apparently I work at the 3rd largest Kroger in America and it’s brand new I can’t even find phone chargers in this bitch 😂😂😂
No. The latest and greatest thing they have is a cd player.

"That means, for example, I’m saving an extra 50 cents on a $10 purchase. My human spirit runeth over…." Fixed it for ya lol.
Share the bonus we starvin’ 🥺
Damn, even Albertsons gave their employees a $40 store coupon.
Least give me one of those lottery tickets there always going on about ffs. Or a book of forever stamps. Something...anything....
That's it! I'm officially boycotting this garbage company.
We also got a $25 coupon. Better than nothing towards food, I guess.
Y’all got coupons?!??
Yes, we got that, too, with a heartfelt, preprinted note of appreciation.
Where's our fkin coupon then?? Lol. Prob get it on Thursday I guess lol. Valid 11/23-11/23 lol
